  4. Its a tough place we humans are in . . .we adopt and care for dogs and cats, we give them a good life loving them and enjoying their company. Whats makes it tough is we live so much longer then them as most cats and dogs live up to 15 +yrs . So we go about our lives with our pets (most would consider them to be members of the family) enjoying each others company and then you begin to notice that they are getting up there in age and their health is failing. Trips to the Vet only confirm what you already knew and you are thrust into the position of choosing when to have your pet put to sleep . . . . . . . when you think about it . . . that job is usually left up to God but now it falls on our shoulders . . . . . . The heartbreak you feel is enormous and you swear that you will never again own another pet so you wont be faced with making that decision ever again. Humans are compassionate and loving beings (for the most part) and when we see a dog or cat that needs a good home and someone to care for it we step up. Yes, we know that we will be faced with that dreaded decision again one day but we remember the joy and unconditional love a pet gives us and how it makes us feel good to be able to provide a good home to a abandoned pet and that over rules the pain that we know is sure to follow. @@spinpuppy I'm sorry for your loss, reading this post brings tears to my eyes for every pet I have ever owned and I'm certain its no different for you. Take some comfort in knowing that you gave your little friend a good life.
  5. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Don't limit your celebration to just a day Your old enough now to party all week!!!
  6. I have had these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826140139 for about 3 months and they are decent headphones, the rumble effect is pretty good. While playing Insurgency I found myself ducking for cover when nades or RPG's went off . . . lol
  7. Next time pick the flower and pin it in your hair and take a selfie That will turn some heads . . . . Nice pic.
  8. Fall is a little late this year as we haven't even had a dusting of snow yet . . . hell it hasn't even been below freezing. You can tell from this pic that Old man winter is waking up and he's ready to chill you to the bone.
  9. I'm still amazed at the picture quality of a Samsung cell phone camera. Just messing around while taking the dog for a walk and shot this I will take another pic of this when it starts to freeze over.
  10. Very Nice Bucks! It's legal to shoot a doe here in Montana (big population of doe's this year had to stop 5 times going to town this morning) and if your looking for some tender tasty meat a doe is the way to go . . . . .
  11. WOW!! That's a Bruiser class bass and I bet it put up a helluva fight! Records are made to be broken and that's just what this guy did. I bet he wasn't fishing for a record but just out fishing and happened to be in the right place at the right time. Keep Fishing you never know what your gonna catch!
  12. They? As in a life form? Keeping am open mind is what makes things that seem impossible .. possible. Because we are looking back 1400 LY's a lot has happened since then so just where are they now?
  13. I miss the smog layer . . . . lol Dont give up on the wonders of the sky . . just when you start to get uninterested something really cool happens, I remember a few years back when the space shuttle was still flying and I would go to the NASA website to see when it was visible from where I lived. ( The space shuttle and the International Space Station reflect sunlight in the early morning and evening and made them visible to the naked eye if it was flying above your location) On this particular evening the space shuttle was docked with the International Space Station and would be flying almost directly over my house. I went out side at the listed time with binoculars and began looking in the area that it would be appearing in and like a scene from a movie the bright point of light appeared low on the horizon and was on a course to fly right over me. Looking through my binoculars I began to see the out stretched solar panels of the ISS ( I had seen it before on several other occasions) but this time the reflection was noticeably larger. Once I could see the space shuttle attached to the ISS flying over my house . . . . . it gave me goose bumps . . how cool is that? The total time the two attached space craft would be visible was only around 5-6 mins but it seemed like 15 mins. A couple of my neighbors came outside to see why I was looking up at the sky were were completely in awe of what they saw. Wait it gets better. Sometimes when the conditions are right a second viewing is possible around 40mins after the first one (that's approximately how long it takes for the ISS/ Space Shuttle to circle the earth) One of the few times I got lucky and this is one of those times. The sky was a bit darker 40 mins after the first sighting but the darker sky would give a better contrast and improve the viewing experience. My neighbors and I cracked a beer and waited the 40 mins until the next viewing and right on time the point of light appeared in the Western sky. As the ISS / Space shuttle became visible it was clear something was different this time. With the darkened sky making a perfect contrast to the sunlit ISS and space shuttle you didn't need to use binoculars to see them. Once I could see the 2 space craft clearly I noticed that they had separated and were no longer attached . .. you could clearly see that the 2 were drifting apart! . . . . . For me this was one of my most memorable moments sky watching. Just the idea that these spacecraft are visible to me without binoculars was fascinating and to see them on back to back orbits so clearly = Mind blown My kids bought me a 12" reflector telescope for Christmas and I was looking at Jupiter (really cool with a colored filter) I could clearly see 7 of Jupiter's moons as they orbited around Jupiter. I went and wrestled my kids from the TV and told them I could see 7 of Jupiter's moons and led them to the telescope. My son was the first to look and he was impressed that the moons were all in a line and that you could actually see them. About 20 mins later My daughter steps up and looks through the telescope and says "dad where did you come up with 7 moons . . .I only count 5" . . . . . I went over to make sure the telescope was focused and sure as shit there was only 5 moons now! Dumbfounded I thought for a min and realized that the other 2 moons had orbited around the back side of the planet and were no longer visible. Most people look into the sky and see stars and planets and unless there is a meteor shower nothing moves . . at least nothing we can see with just our naked eye ( the moon and sun not included) On that night me and my 2 kids saw something that was amazing and really spectacular . . . . . .The fact that the sky is alive and there are things moving and unless you look closely you will miss it.
  14. Dang that's long! To be able to keep hair that long takes dedication and you have "nailed it" Sexy! I always thought Morticia from the TV show Adams Family had cool hair
  15. Are these new boobs going on your back? . . . . . .not too big it will make you look like Hunchback . .. . lol
  16. @HarryWeezer HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Hell party all week you deserve it!!
  17. MMMMMMmmmm Burgers How bout a full 1/4 pound burger 2 slices of cheese grilled onions and piled high with pastrami, along side of that a pile of fries and crispy onion rings? Oh yeah don't forget the Diet Coke after all . . . . . . . . . your watching your weight . . I don't mind an occasional burger (not like the one I described above) but just like everything else . . . . . . in moderation. (except after taking a couple rips ) and as for the Diet Coke . . . .yuk!!! How can anyone drink that stuff? There was a you tube video called "Supersize me" (correction needed) about a guy that ate at McDonald's everyday and how it made him feel . . . lousy.
  18. I love Hostess stuff and I don't even have to be "medicated" It was a shame to see Hostess go down but I knew that with all the good things they made the Union wasn't gonna keep them from selling cup cakes (have you ever had their orange cupcakes?) Wonder bread isn't available where I live here in Montana and that was my favorite bread growing up . . .ah what the hell it's still my favorite . . . . .Do ya hear that Mr Wonder Bread salesman?
  19. Nice Fish!! If your gonna post pics of nice fish you gotta tell the Idiots where you caught them from . . . . . . don't worry about everyone coming down and pounding your honey hole most have jobs and cant get away But I'm retired . . . heheheh
  20. 22 caliber pistols or rifles are a great overall gun to own. The ammo is inexpensive so you can afford to go out and shoot it and have fun and a good tool for self defense. For accuracy a longer barrel is better and you will have more fun when you are hitting what you shoot at. Take a look at these, http://www.sportsmansguide.com/product/index/browning-buck-mark-camper-semi-automatic-22lr-051482490-023614397663-55-barrel?a=1799438 http://www.sportsmansguide.com/product/index/walther-uzi-pistol-semi-automatic-22lr-5790301-723364201233-5-barrel?a=1821631 The browning has a 10 rd magazine and is a very nice gun. The UZI is a sweet reproduction of the real thing (9mm) and it holds 20rds I would have trouble choosing between those 2. Let us know what you decide and of course post some pics
  21. I wonder if there have been any studies on sales of snack foods in these states . . .. .surely that have gone up As far as the lower jail population . . . it should go down some but most arrests for pot are for small amounts and the only guys getting put in prison are the guys with shopping carts full. Now since the pot is grown locally it doesn't make much sense to haul around a huge sack. The drug cartels know how to adapt so they will just open there own legal pot shop and they can launder other drug money through it. The smugglers will just start carrying other drugs after all they got families to feed too right? . . All the more reason to increase the security on the border. I'm happy to see pot becoming legal its been a long time coming and the tax money collected could be put to good use . . . . . . .if the politicians don't squander it all away.
  22. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Cutie!!! I hope you have some good
