Thanks for the advice everyone. Put down ground chilli pepper on everything last night. I think the jalapeno idea might be the best. Main thing is to stop them from starting a pattern around the house. They'll walk around an acre of alfalfa & clover down below to bite off a row of blue spruce down our lane, just because it's on their path. Maddening thing is they'll bite it off and spit it out. Not tasty, it's just something different. Only things I've found they won't bother are marigolds & cedar trees. Lori doesn't like marigolds, and I've transplanted 30+ cedars all around. Some have grown into beautiful trees, but I never cared for cedars to begin with.
