@@RANDALL, I feel your pain. It is tough emotionally when you don't have the job you want, and you aren't getting any bites looking for the job want. I have been in your exact position. Just keep looking and don't give up looking, applying, and sending out those resumes. It will pay off eventually. When I got out of college I had two jobs I hated. One was developing film and the other was an errand boy at a law office. Those jobs were about as far away from flying as I could get. My college gpa wasn't exactly Rhodes Scholar quality either. But I kept at it and my perseverance paid off. I now have the job I wanted as a kid. So it will happen for you too. Just keep at it. Get in game to blow of steam and take your mind off the job. When you get pissed switch games or take you dog for another walk! Keep at buddy, you'll get that job!

I'm thinking of doing exactly what you said Olive. I am in the process of planning the trip now. I had to wait for next month's work schedule to be posted first. I'm thinking LHR and then the train to Nottingham. That way I can keep my drunk going the entire way from Arizona!
