I don't know anyone who doesn't have, or hasn't had that error at one time or another. If you weren't getting it, we'd all be digging through your system trying to figure out why you were so lucky, LOL.

added a second monitor, just now. Instantly raised my vid card temp up to 125F, we'll see how it goes.

it's been determined by many to be the drivers causing the problem. The temp thing was just the first thing I thought of the first time it happend. I've been reading on NVidia forums about some having it way more frequently than I am, and several who went back to the 285.xx drivers and the problem is gone. It's not the graphics intense stuff that causes the crash either, it's simple video like streaming or editing. If it happens again, i think I will try the older drivers. or maybe the next ones will be out of beta soon, the current beta is not solving the problem yet. as far as gaming goes, i have not the lockup while playing yet, just been while browsing our XI forums. Happend 3 times, all 3 times while here, and watching vids posted here.

Alright, it's been a week today, and now I've it happen 2 times today. I did find on tomsharware where several others are having the same problem, with the same card basically. All gtx 560's, I may end up ordering something else, Anyone have any suggestions? Don't want to spend a lot on it, but a couple hundred is ok.

Connecting through Xfire would probably be the easiest, if you are able to connect at all. Just go to the homepage here and click on the xfire icon next to the servers you play, it will put them in your Xfire list under the servers tab, then al you do is double click on the server you want to play from Xfire, and it will launch the game, log you in, and go straight to that server. Provided everything is set working properly. If that doesn't work, then it's possible you have a firewall that is blocking you from going "out". if thats the case, hollar back, and we'll go from there.

This may be a long shot, but just googled your phone and os, and saw a lot of replies to a lot of people having the same problem. One thigs that several said worked was this: Go into Settings>Applications>Development and uncheck all of the options. Restart the phone. I don't have that phone so I can't verify it for you, but that was a common reply to folks.

Personally, I don't know about the story, but the fact that you pulled through it may be the more helpful thing in the situation. I've been there myself, many years ago. Nearly 15 years ago, from the time I was 15 to 18. The school counselor called me to her office, she had seen the signs in me. A few doctor visits later, I was on pills for depression. My depression lasted about 3 years, with a number of situations that I won't detail here in the open. I will however credit my wife for being my saving spirit. Most will know her as Mercy. first thing is start with temps. Check your idle temps and gaming temps. You can use Speccy for this, its free program. Just hanging up could be any number of things, but this is where I would prefer to start myself. If temps are high then give it a cleaning on the inside. Carefully vaccuum out any dust and debris from any fan openings, and the processor heatsink. dont remove the heatsink, just use a Qtip or something to help clear the fins and losen the gunk up for the vaccuum. if that don't help, hollar again and we'll think of something else to try.

It will show in your browser, firefox directions, Tools/Addons, a windows opens then select extensions. If you want to see if it's still there. As for a site working, just click on the stop sign looking icon on your browser frame, and tell it to disable on your troubled sites. You can set it for page specific or entire site. I use Adblock Plus, and Adblock Pop-up Addon, it really works great if you use both of them together. And if that doesn't cut out enough stuff for you try Ghostery, it will make a few things not work at first, but you can easily figure out which things need to be enabled . It removes all tracking from your browser, you would be amazed at how much your tracked on any search. They claim it's how they target you for ads.
