The introduction of new technology has changed the balance of the game (for example I am no longer using stun grenades because of all the Trophy Systems being used) - adding a new piece of technology to "balance" the other thing already added seems like it could have more downstream effects than desired. It's a powerful enough piece of technology that I'd actually like to see how an effective, coordinated, communicating team could use it. It definitely provides for new strategies and tactics. I would be cool to see how effective they are in a tournament/competition.

I like the new mod about the same as I liked the old mod. I get how invested some of us (including, perhaps, myself) in our beloved 10+ year old game that we keep putting new lipstick on. I get that people don't like change (good or bad). But there is a human being behind this mod - and human beings supported and promoting this mod and clan. And those people have been working hard - for YEARS - for YOU to have a mod to play with the rest of us that we all presume to "like." A pair of EMPs should knock out a Trophy System. Or something. There should be some way to destroy them other than cars and bullets. I love the idea of them - especially for things like sudden death (teammates working together with a pair of EMP mines and a couple of trophy systems in a room with decent cover and shooting lanes would be impossible to defeat in sudden death).

Currently on mp_atp and is booting everyone for a filesum/mismatch error. I am going to try changing maps.

I make bread too. I mill my own flour and make honey wheat loaves. I have been playing around with gathering my own wild yeast. In fact, I have a jar of old cannabis buds with some water and a little sugar in it that has produced some good yeast water. I am going to make a levain with it tonight to see how active it is, and if it looks good, I'll try making a loaf with it. At one point I actually considered planting wheat so I could grow my own wheatberries, but it turns out you need like 100 square feet of wheat to yield enough berries for 10 loaves of bread. Cheaper and easier to just go to Walmart and buy a 25# bag.

Learn how to use mouth calls. You only need the #6 shot. If you can afford it, a blind is a great upgrade for turkey hunting, but not necessary. Above all else, be patient. When you hear a tom gobble and call to it and it responds then stops responding - BE PATIENT. I can't tell you how many times I have had a tom go quiet on me, thought he gave up, and been wrong. Turkey hunting is by far my favorite type of hunting. The weather is great, you can spread your day around and do some hunting, do some trout fishing, etc. It's just a great time to be in the field.

All the map making tools are free and the interwebz are littered with tutorials on how to use them. I encourage people who still have the energy to spend on complaining about maps we've all played for a decade to consider redirecting some of that energy on making their own. Your favorite map is always the one you made yourself.

I had settled on at 2070 Super myself... we'll see what the prices and market are like in February after I recover from Christmas. I'm probably upgrading mobo, memory and CPU as well.

I have a GTX 1060 and I can run No Man's Sky on "enhanced" settings without any frame rate issues. There are two levels above "enhanced." Heh. But I am also running UHD on three monitors. In the latest COD game I cannot run it at max settings on the 1060, but it is certainly playable on a 1060. I assume you can run it on full blast on the 2060. I can tell you that I plan to upgrade to a 2070 based card early next year.
