Any ideas folks???????? Awards

If you had another video card then you mmay have to uninstall all the drives that came with that onme before it recognises this one. If you hjave an integrated video befolre you may hjave to dis able it for you system to recognize this one. My nvidia was that way! Try it and see. Hope this is of any help, running NVidia since years, 580 GTX at this time, never had problem. Sorry for the eventual bad translations, I'm running a french version of W7...

At no time have i had a "new hardware detected message" and if i do a device manger "new hardware search" nothing comes up. I have manually updated my pci list of shit in the device manager as well. Any more thought s would be great before i pull out what little hair i have left!!!!!!!! Awards

ALso, until i'm sure my pci(or PCIe) slot is working, im not getting that new hardware detected post at startup, but if all is good i'll spend the dough if need be..... Awards

I uninstalled alll nvidia shit before trying to install, unfortunately i uninstalled the nvidia ethernet driver and had no internet access as a result, so, i went back and system restored. When trying to install card i had BIOS set to pci, and also tried pci-e, both times i had no dvi cord hooked up. As far as i can tell, the card (9500gt) is a pci-e card, so i would figure the pci-e setting would be appropriate, When i got the cord and plugged into the card, there was no signal yet from the card to the monitor. Gonna try a couple mnore times, cant let my 750 watt power supply go to waste. wish me luck some more fellow idiots....... Awards
