I personally have no use for sniper maps. I understand that some people like sniper maps and that they give the higher ping players a chance to compete too (I'm talkin 150+ ping people). I also understand that the Admins at the time when these maps were added or introduced to the TDM server, liked to play sniper maps. Unfortunatly since that time their admin status has been removed or givin up, whichever is the case, but the maps remain. Futher more when the map packs are updated we get new fuckin sniper maps....oh the joy. I guess my question is this: Who wants sniper maps in the CoD 2 TDM server and whom does not. If one of our web Gurus could put this in a form of a vote that would be great. Please PLEASE...only people who play in the CoD 2 TDM server need answer. I'm trying to be serious for once. . It's just that in my opinion being a sniper is one of the most solitary things you could do and seeing that TDM stands for Team Death Match it just seems to defeat the purpose. Small run and gun maps are fun, but when that's all you have out there and the same people win every single round over and over again, it gets boring. Everybody in XI has their strengths and weaknesses, and having a single type of map with the same people constantly dominating the games gets discouraging. Area 51 servers have been getting more popular lately with larger crowds playing. A big reason for it is that the weapon choices even out the playing field, and guys like me who rarely win a round can keep up with the better players, even when I have a higher ping. That's something you admins should keep in mind for the main COD2 servers. Having a large group of players regularly dominating the games takes a lot of fun out of the experience for the rest of us. I'm not complaining (much) and I enjoy almost everything about the XI servers and the members, but when admins and old time players know every square inch of a map and take full advantage of spawn killing and map exploits that the rest of us aren't aware of, it gets kind of old. I'm guilty of it myself occasionally, but I try not to take advantage of things unless I know it's ferzulo or major pain that I'm killing. :-) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
