That's exactly what changing up the config does...So it does have some effect on the ping... Awards

They will prioritise certain things and throttle others. Gaming can suffer. I have just opted to pay a little extra each month to PlusNet to prioritise gaming 24/7/365. it is claimed that this brings pings down but the lowest I have got since the upgrade has been 140ms. Scotty said,"ye cannae change the laws of physics, Captain" and the physical distance betweens us Brits and US-based servers is a constant about which we can do nothing. I have come to accept that gunfights with low-ping players will rarely, if ever, end in my favour. There are a few tactics that ping does not adversely affect so we can still play competitively.
