I see Newf recently posted about a suspected hacker on one of the servers. I too have seen players I suspect. They come in, download maps and then dominate over good experienced players. After a few games or an admin coming in they leave (or stay and dont do as well). So my question, is there a reason we don't run punkbuster on any of the COD2 servers? I think it would eliminate some of these problems because these hackers seek out non PB servers. Just my $2 (2 cents doesnt buy shit anymore).

Yes because of punkbusters conflicts with custom mods and maps.. Bet thing to do is find a admin on xfire if nonoe to be found take a video and post on the site then we will take care of it

Dawgy is right...We tried PB many years ago and had problems with it...Besides if we ran PB Spanky wouldn't be able to play (the hack) LOL...If you suspect someone and an Admn isn't available try to get a video of them and we will take care of the rest... :)

I am with you Bullet, this seems to be a problem on the COD 2 servers. It's funny that when someone calls them out they either leave or the score changes. No doubt they look for servers that don't run PB. This seems to happen alot now. I will be glad to send any video to anyone that wants to see it. I hope it would get some consideration.

Window, we had this conversation a couple of weeks ago and I told you to send any video you have to any COD2 Admn you choose...Admn's can't always be there when the hackers are and we count on the members to help keep an eye out for hackers... :)

One was Farmer Clem. I might still have video of him. Definitely appeared to me to have a wall hack. He was lining up shots from behind objects. Might have been kicked already.

 

Problem with videos is the file size gets large very fast so to send it in takes forever. I was hoping to avoid taping or chasing down admins by letting PB do the work. Do other servers have issues running PB with custom mods and maps? If this is the case it seems like PB would be useless because i don't think too many run just stk maps and mods.

I had to refresh my memory on "Farmer Clem" so I did some checking...On March 4th I posted a "Ban on sight" in the COD2 Admn Forum...Window provided me a video of him clearly using a wallhack...Myself I haven't seen him in game since that time...He will be caught it's just a matter of time... :)

Bart, I sent you a video and you took care of the problem. Thanks for the help. Now having said that it sucks when you are in game and you have to get out to spec/record a person. I know that there is not always going to be a ADM in the game all the time but it would be nice if we had more help.

its just that punkbuster kicks everybody all the time that's why we have admins but our members must do there part also even though it may be a pain in the rear sometimes maybe try using fraps to record

I will keep an eye out from now on for Hackers & will Video them.

I have seen a few reciently, But Won't use any names until I Roll Video to prove it....
