i need some help PB up to date same as drivers but the game keeps on crashing

 

iw3mp.exe

 

i have reloaded the whole game twice now and it still keeps on crashing i play a bit then crash, or i can play the whole rounds.

if you haven't already, try plugging in a mic. Some cases is that simple, maybe you'll be one of the lucky ones. Thats all I had to do for Mercy's computer.

If you have an "older" style mic, a jack pin one, try replacing with a USB one - I did and have not had error since

It's not a PB error it's a sound error, many different possible fixes but different ones work for different people, i have a USB mic and i still get it, if you just updated your sound drivers then roll them back, if not then update them, in your cod4 files go to your "miles" folder and change the mssmp3.asi file to mssmp3.bak, the best fix for me is to uninstall game then update my sound drivers then reinstall the game back to the new drivers, that always works.

Many ppl are having this problem.. its to do with the file mssmp3.asi in Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\miles

 

for a fast fix, just delete that file (mssmp3.asi)

 

or............

 

UPDATE YOUR SOUND CARD..

    if your under vista go to, control panel------->Sound---------->Recording Tab------------>show disabled devices

     

    there should be one called stereo mix enable it should work after
