I only mention COD4 cause that's about all I play. I'm thinking it's probably a setting in my computer as I've tried disabling then enabling voice chat in the game itself with no luck. I've also tried changing the command key around with no luck. My mic is working fine and I know others can hear me but I can't hear anybody when they talk. Of course there are a couple select players whom I choose to usually ignore but not everyone. I can't pinpoint when this started happening but it kinda coincided with new maps and that is probably not even connected to the problem. I've also scaled way back on most graphic settings (Smoke, shadows, etc.) just so the game will run better on this particular system. So far I'm pleased at how much faster the game runs but the voice chat issue really has me stumped. I don't have any other issues with sound on the computer or any other issues with the game at all other than my performance in the game. lol I wonder if there is a command line setting for muting all players or something to that effect? Any help would be greatly appreciated! I am considering reinstalling the game and starting over which is a chore so I'd appreciate an easier alternative. I'm sure it's probably something stupid which I've overlooked but that's why they call it dope. ;o) Thanks in advance! Kill ya later! Inglorious Bastard

Not sure if this will help any, but it's worth a shot. Maybe even just move the maps to a flash drive incase redownloading doesn't solve the problem, you can just put them back and save yourself from downloading the rest of them.

When this came about I was having an issue with downloading new maps. It would start downloading, go over %100 and then would re-download and there was no way to stop it without shutting down the game prematurely so maybe it corrupted something. Thank you for your help. I'll let you know I how I make out! simplemod 1
