Rubie's Child Size Chart (recommended sizing from the manufacturer): Size Height Waist Toddler (2-4) 35"-39" 22"-24" Small (4-6) 44"-48" 25"-26" Medium (8-10) 50"-54" 27"-30" Large (12-14) 56"-60" 31"-34" is the large (12-14) the age of the kid? 56"-60" is not my language lol

It's not like it's taboo for a guy to do that. Once in the store, you'll pick up on what's the right size. I had to go through this with my daughter as a single parent father. There's no right or wrong answer where clothing sizes are concerned. You're right, it's confusing, but if you just go do the shopping, it all works out in the end. Awards
