When he surfs he gets the following pop ups and they keep changing. He also ran Malwarebytes and avas antivirus and found only a couple things with the Malware. Maybe the ads will be hidden but there is a bigger problem. Bit you are right. Adblock plus and NoScript rte the first things I add to a fresh FF installation. MS Essentials is crap. Spybot Search & Destroy is a good addition to any anti virus program. The screenshots look like it is "only" simple Adware. The most AV tools should be able to deal with it. Awards

If only that were 100% true. Went over to my parent's house for Mother's day and my dad had just installed a couple of browser toolbars on their MBP because he thought they were valid updates. The OS can only help so much..
