So I have been experiencing really weird ping issues lately. It will go from 90-400 and everything in between the whole time I am playing. I have done everything I know to do to correct this (stopped startup programs that aren't needed, making sure Netflix isn't running on my Wii, laptop & Ipad- some of you know the cause of this problem for me the last time was running Netflix on all 3 devices at the same time haha :clapping: I'm blaming that one on my hair color. Anyways... I decided to run Malwarebytes just to see if maybe there was something I was unaware in the background. I don't know if that has anything to do with my ping or not but figured I would give it a try. I'm glad I did. I don't know if it will help anything but I think its not a good idea to have 95 objects detected just by performing the quick scan. I'll run a full scan now just in case. Just thought you tech guys would appreciate the little story :popo:

AND FYI..........Nothing came from porn downloads so you can stop fantasizing right now.

i told u yesterday this was smelling malwares or spywares.

not sure u were still in the server because u were constantly disconnecting :)

good luck with the cleaning.

i like malwarebytes, but it doesnt get rid of every bad stuff that can affect your ping.

i always use spybvot search and destroy like every month or so

i just saw they change their website and sell new softwares now, but the free version i use is still available here : http://www.safer-networking.org/mirrors16/

they also have another newer free version here : http://www.safer-networking.org/mirrors/

(i didnt tested it yet; maybe its better ? not sure)

so DL it, install and run it.

first window click on 'Search for updates'

downloads all the updates.

then click on 'Check for problems'

then fix selected problems.

done.

hope this will help, good luck

this is not necessarily the case tho....sometimes them malware scans pick up stuff ur pc needs to run properly as detected objects..or scan result doesnt even show any details or show what was found...if she hasnt purchased the program it will show stuff was detected as threats just to get you to buy the programs u have to becareful of this advertising strategy from these programs...really u should let me hop on ur pc brat see if there is something going on hidden in ur pc...also cant remember what kind of net you have but it could just possibly be internet provider connection issues as well...not that they will admit it is the problem tho cause they wont admit it that i can tell you for sure being a pc tech myself...could also be registry issues as well..could be stuff running in ur hidden temp folders those programs hidden n there can def cause connection issues as well...u have to know where to look for them fortunately for you i do...not sure if you know where all the hidden folders are at tho...but seriously you see me on xfire feel free to hit me up if u got team viewer id be more than gladly help you out ....since ur a blonde i wont charge you anything...just dont tell queen hahahahaha

A lot of people on all servers have been experiencing ping issues over the last 2 days. It's probably a result of the storms that made their way across the US yesterday. When power goes out in certain areas, routers go down and circuts have to be re-routed slowing down broadband for many people.

Just wait it out, there should be a big improvement today and tomorrow.
