iw3mp has stopped working

most of you know tis error it happen randomly

 

i bin testing a lot of thing to make it stop doing tis and i now come to some thing realy simple

i test it for 2 day no crash so far hope it works for every body

 

( WINDOWS 7 )

( WINDOWS VISTA dont know )

 

 

go to your  shortcut of cod4 right click ten go to the bottem click on properties

go to compatibility (run this program in compatibillity mod for:)

choos Windows XP (Service Pack 3) + run as administrator

press apply or OK

start cod4 and give it a try if still crashes?

let me know so can look in to tis again til i find it

easier fix ....install sound card other than real tek....i installd sound blaster and never again did i have iw3 error crash...

got usb mic test other ten realtek still happens

wen i try tis it dit not crash yet so that a good thing

 

as far as i can think the create cod4 for pc to run windows XP but soon after that came windows vista

windows XP and vista are difrent so let just hope it dont crash again

Did you enable stereo mix in the recording in windows sound properties?,,,,,if you don't see it on the recording tab...put mouse on blank space right click show hidden devices,,,,then enable your stereo mix there not default but just enabled....worked for me Jim....it take approx..ten seconds to check this in windows sound. not your sound card but windows sound properties...then look for the recording tab...enable stereo mix...i don't ever get this error any more unless i download a new map...and sometimes not then either...has happened once in a year for me since enabling stereo mix

all ready done that johnny it wil still random crach

 

bin running it 4 days now

on compatilbilty mode (Windows XP service pack 3 and admin still no crash

 

error is gone in event viewer so its clear to me that this is the fix johnny 

 

i turnd compatibility mode off to day for some testing crash after 2 min of playing next was 5 and try it 2 more time around 10 min and 4 min

after turning it back on it dint crash any more allso tis problem is cause by punkbuster dll  :detective:

 

i do my research.  :detective:

 

PS. i can trun Stereo mix on and off it wont change any thing for me so stereo mix is a dead end.

don';t know why you should have to run it in xp mode,,,,,compatibility..i dont think that would have much to do with it
