Went out deep sea fishing here in Cancun today and caught me a 35 inch Barracuda.. Woohoo.... was a fun fight until the fight suddenly ended with the fish breaking its own neck during the struggle to get away..

You can eat 'cuda... best if served very soon after being caught as they are an oily fish. There are chances of getting very sick as they do carry a toxin, but are safe to eat at certain times of the year and are served all through the Mayan Riviera region.  i would never catch and eat it myself, but on a charter with a knowlegable guide i would not think twice about it. It is supposed to be very tasty and you can check if they are toxic by touching your tongue to the liver, if it numbs your tongue then dont eat it. Ill leave that test to someone else though LOL
