I cannot believe we only have 2 of these iconic planes left in the world today, these are the planes that took part in the Famous Dam Busters raid, dropping "Bouncing Bombs" and destroying German Dams, second link was at Airport only 5 miles from me yesterday and i had no idea about it until last nights news or i would have went and paid tribute, Canadians take heed one of these beautiful planes belongs to Canada.

Windsor, Ontario

The Lancaster Bomber Memorial was dedicated on July 4, 1965 in memory of the 398 airmen of the Windsor area who gave their lives in World War II.

The inscription on the memorial reads:

"To our glorious dead of the Royal Canadian Air Force who represented this area in World War II."

The names of the dead are on a bronze plaque.

Nothing quite like the sound of four Merlins thundering in sync. Enjoy!
