COD 2 install

hey guys can somebody make a guide to installing COD 2 on Windows 7?  I'm looking for a start to finish guide\description detailing the install from the original discs and in what order to add any patches (with the file names or links to get them).  Because i'm fucking retarded.

I didn't get any issues with my install for 7. I just installed it like any normal game/program (keeping the default directory it gives me) and then downloaded patch 1.3 which you can just google and then with the patch, install it (it's a .exe and should be able to find the location of CoD2. You don't need to add any other patches, just that one.

 

I'm sorry I am not that clear im not good at explaining things at all.

Windows 7 non-Steam

 

1) Right-click > Open on the drive containing the CoD2 DVD

 

2) Select setup.exe > Right Click > Properties > Compatibility and set compatibility mode for Windows XP SP3 . In privilege Level put the check on "Run this program as an administrator". Apply, double  click on setup.exe and install the game.

 

3)  Download  and Install DirectX 9.0c (Right Click and Run as administrator). if needed

 

4) Download  and Install the Call of Duty 2 Patch 1.3

 

5 Locate the Call of Duty 2 folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty 2), select CoD2MP_s.exe > Right Click > Properties > Compatibility and set compatibility mode for Windows XP SP3. In privilege Level put the check on "Run this program as an administrator". Do the same for CoD2SP_s.exe and click Apply.

 

 

6) Install and update the PunkBuster

I didn't have to do any of that with mine when I installed it, it ran fine right off the bat and I didn't even have to install and update the punkbuster either. Strange
