I get no picture at all except entry to the bios. If i boot into safe mode, i get a picture all the way to the Windows LogOn screen, and i can use the screen normally - until i leave safe mode, then the picture just disappears. If i connect via DVi- Out to the dedicated HDMI/DV-i port on the TV, i get absolutely nothing, not even the bios screen or boot logo. Now i think it's something to do with the resolution on the pc. As far as i know, i can't change the resolution on the TV, that's sorted automagically. Windows 7, x64, all drivers are up-to-date, including graphics. any thoughts would be appreciated Stool

Shouldn't have to boot into safe mode though. This is a brand new 4K curved samsung and whilst the graphics card is hardly top line, it's far from shite and does have hdmi and dvi

My card when it was last connected to a different tv was using a full Hd resolution. I'll look at the link you shared asap. Cherrs bro

I think your TV or video card only supports 30Hz signal input refresh for higher resolutions and it is possible that your video card may be detecting the TV but trying to feed a 60Hz signal (I know it probably advertises 240Hz but that is the video processor on board TV). Best bet is to hook a normal monitor to the DVI port and the TV to HDMI so that you can see the video settings on the monitor. Once you access the video settings you can adjust the Refresh down 30Hz or adjust the resolution to HD which I believe will work at 60Hz on your TV. Also, make sure you have HDMI cables that are rated for high resolution. I have heard that less than v2.0 HDMI cable can have issues. The reason you can see in Safe mode is that your video is forced to 800X600 60Hz which the TV can handle. Good luck. Edited March 8, 2015 by JoeCamel ANGUS 1 Awards

I'll give it a shot. After some further digging I discovered that unless you actually rename the port you're using either PC-hdmi or PC-Dvi the tv won't pick up the input anyway. So done that and STILL no joy. You'd think a £2500 tv would be a bit easier ffs. Thanks man, I'll try your suggestion and come back to you.

You should see some activity like monitor go black briefly. Now you can go to the display settings and get a better idea of whats happening. Also, Samsung probably has video input specs for your model on their site. Check those and match your output from the PC to those and you should be in good to go. Also look at this article with same issue as you. They made changes to input to UHD color on port 2 which may work for you. The solution they have is about 3/4 down the thread in the forum. http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2310647/connect-samsung.html Here is an article that explains some about the Cables and resolution limits. I know it's 2 years old and I would assume (not knowing your the exact TV model) that the HDMI is supporting HDMI 2.0. http://www.cnet.com/news/hdmi-vs-displayport-vs-dvi-vs-vga-which-connection-to-choose/ Awards

Anyway, finally got it sorted, issue turned out to be that although the TV has a dedicated DVi port, i have to rename the input to PC, once i done that all good. Thanks for taking the time to root around and post, appreciated. Stool Blackbart and loaderXI 2
