All have a bit of a learning curve, but for ease of use, I would probably lean towards Powerlink CyberDirector or Pinnacle Studio. But if yo're looking for complete control and awesome workflow, none are better than Adobe Premier. All you need is a thick wallet. Awards

You should have VLC as your video player anyway but it does simple editing.

But you will probably have to find and download the x264 codec depending on what your video capture uses. Also, go here. More information that you can possibly want. The fact that there are so many tools and customization makes it my top go to software.
