I have been playing on your guys server for quit awhile and finally decided to hook up my mic, 1st mic worked perfect till kitten found the cord and well, you can guess what was next, so I picked up a Logitech Mic with the plain pink plug end, installed it, mic works perfectly till I fire up WAW game, game wont start, then windows says its not responding, so I close the game and re-start the game and all is fine, game works great  then,  I am using Windows 7 64 bit, on an Alienware X-51 pc with onboard digital sound board, never had this issue with old mic, just this new one, but it works fine on everything else, any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Go to sound settings in your control panel and check what is your default devices...

You may need to reset them....Make sure Realtek is default

Also, if you are using front panel jacks, be sure in the realtek control panel that front panel auto detection is turned off so it always loads the proper drivers.

Yea that is probably related to the realtek front audio auto detection being enabled. It should be off so the drivers are always loaded. Otherwise, if the mic part isnt, the driver is missing.
