What you want to do is be able to draw a select box around the area you wish to delete. !st thing is make sure all your filters are on. Now in your 2d window from above the skybox start selecting all the textures and models around your issue. You hit the "H" key and that hides everything you have selected. You do that till the only thing you have is that problem. (DON'T FORGET YOUR SKYBOX) Now using the left shift key and the alt key with your mouse draw a box around your problem.
