So as I mentioned in my introduction post, Shadow and I like to ride motorcycles in our spare time.  He rides an '03 Fat Boy and I ride a bobbed '94 Honda Shadow 1100.  Any one else ride or what's you hobbies?  Other than gaming ;)  Photography is also another one of my passions, but it has now become a full time job.  Can't really count it as a "hobby" anymore...

You must not know how to read, because one of our bikes is definitely not a Harley ;)  I've done more work to that Honda then I've ever thought about doing to my Harley, and mine sounds better!

Thats better, I can read actually but it's a Harley clone, big V twin cruiser, single disc where commonsense says there should be twin and a Japanese HD in every respect, best compliment Harley can get, I would agree if you want a bike like that buy a Harley not a copy.  If it wasn't for patriotism and good marketing I doubt many would buy them, I was gutted to see Victory fold which I think was unnecessary, didn't like their styling but the engines were great, Indian are building great machines but their styling too isn't to my taste.. Buell was the Company I hoped would last but sadly they die after every incarnation, made some good machinery did our Erik. By work on it Shadow I presume you mean mods not fixing it?? It looks good but doesn't the blood rush down your arms and leave your hands numb?, they did when I tried apehangers. Only teasing you the bikes look great, although with F..k you on the back you'd last about 1 mile before being arrested over here, good to see you're still the land of freedom. Now come on all of you and tell me why these John Deere substitutes are great!

here are 2 of my hobbies...

the buggy is mine, it's a street legal Rail powered by a 2.4 Ecotec from a 2009 Pontiac g6, it puts down around 164HP... how do I know that?

that's also my Mobile Dyno sitting under the buggy, it is a Dynojet 224x, it will handle 200 MPH and 2000 HP

I do car shows in the summer, and a little tuning on the side... I try to keep that down to a minimum

other hobbies.. Jeeps..RC Cars, Drones... Guns... many many guns.. I also teach Michigan CPL Licensing classes with my brother (Concealed Pistol)

I'm sure there are 10 more hobbies I'm missing

Wow, you're a busy guy and a lucky one I'm jealous, especially with the guns which we're not allowed in case we're naughty and rebel against the establishment.

LOL, well I'm not one to bitch about any bike really.  If it has an engine I want to ride it!  I've had a few others including a rocket, they are all fun.  As for the work, the Shadow was mine.  After 45k in miles, it was popping out of gear under accel, so instead of trying to fix it I replaced the whole engine/transmission with a much lower mileage one.  At that point I chopped it up, lowered it, and made it "her" bike.  And that is how I got my Harley, lol :)  Here is a before and after shot.

Hey now, I don't take too kindly to people making fun of my ricer!! :D   I actually find the apes very comfortable and they're only 14".  The angle of the shots make them look bigger.  I'd much rather have my HD copy than pay for the HD name.  One, I paid about 5K less and two, she beats every HD I've lined up with so far .   Plus who wants to chop up a HD, I didn't feel so bad doing it to the Honda.  And she definitely turns heads. It is a shame for Victory, but I'm with you. Not a fan of their styles.  There are also many things frowned upon with my bike.  The FU tail light, no baffles, and no front fender.   I've been pulled over already, but I guess my pretty smile has gotten me out of tickets....  :yahoo:

Ha Ha, Shadow made a great job of it, I've seen lots of bikes over there without front fenders I thought it was legal, obviously not, no problem if you don't ride in the rain, I must admit it does look a good riding position on the photo above your arms are almost straight. So you agree with me about why anyone wants an expensive HD when theres cheaper more reliable bikes available, but I'm amazed I expected a flood of replies defending HD, I'm under the suspicion they only get brought out for Sturgis and they ride Suzukis the rest of the year. Harley riders in the UK (where they are MEGA expensive) are totally committed to the brand and nothing will deflect them, even 10 trips on the back of a pick up truck. Of all the bikes I've owned over the years I have to say that BMW have surprisingly let me down the most, which was not what I expected but maybe I was unlucky with the two I've owned. You keep on riding that lovely machine and enjoy the freedom it gives you. :yahoo:

OMG you were so much of an influence I bought another cruiser, a Triumph and I hate it, the riding position is very uncomfortable and it don't go round corners , it's already on Ebay, shame it's a lovely bike, note the twin discs which actually stop you Indian! Also a picture of the Sunday Special' very pampered,
