I prefer vinyl to any other medium.   Just my personal preference.   In the video, they should have compared 7 1/2 IPS reel to reel against vinyl.  Instead they used 3 3/4 which is inferior to the faster speed.  3 3/4 can sound good as shown in some of the comparisons, but 7 1/2 IPS is so much more dynamic and has a higher frequency range.   But many commercial tapes were 3 3/4 IPS.   Used less tape (cheaper to manufacture), but the sound quality is very noticeable between the two speeds.   Now dont get me wrong 7 1/2 IPS R2R sounds fantastic (even some 3 3/4).   I listen to tape everyday and on paper it out performs vinyl.  But for listening pleasure I like vinyl.  Digital is fine and a convenient medium, but "listening fatigue" is a real problem with digital to me.   Now 15 IPS R2R is the bomb !!!!

Maybe not; but it's not what a 9 year-old wants to listen to for extended periods of time.

At nine years old I was listening to live bands in bars !!    🙂  I actually have R2R tapes with recordings from one of the bars !!   Always had music going on in our house.   Gonna be buried with my headphones on and iPod on random.   Or cremated.  Not sure yet.

Heynow, 19 hours from 'label created' to my doorstep!  Can be sure it's a Shure as I followed the D.A.P. (Dumbass Authentication Protocol) & broke it by opening.  Very nice of them to replace it & overnight it once they realized they hadn't shipped it at the estimated date.

Understand now why we don't hear you in game since u don't have 3 hands (a guess) to hold the keyboard, the mouse and the mic...

Br0000OOOOO.... they were like only $100 U.S.!!  And they sounded GREAT!!  And they got lotsa really nice reviews on different sites (Amazon usually used for a reliable metric).  Was like, fuck it, can't beat that price & value with a stick;  get over here, Klipsch.  Plus it sounds German, so that's a plus, too.  Really do like them & gonna have to get another set for the other room.  So: Shure...Foucusrite.Scarlett...Klipsch.  Sounds pretty nice for around $300 total.
