Curious, first that they tolerate your presence and secondly that they wish to entertain XI with whom, if I am not mistaken, there has been some unpleasantness in the past. I know I got kicked from their server seemingly for wearing XI tags quite a while back. I think it has to do with the history of their clan - some "rejects" from here started SnR. Maybe someone who's been here for more than a decade can add flesh to the bones... I shan't participate as their rules and regulations are ridiculous especially with regard to run and gun and bunny hopping.

Thank you, all. Among my birthday cards was one from Liverpool FC! A friend had written to them, telling them my recent life story - death, resurrection twice then stroke, paralysis, blindness etc - and, while Herr Klopp didn't sign personally, the whole squad is on the front with a personal message inside which was very touching. It is an ADSL connection and, slow though it is, it is generally reliable. Guess what… I had a screen like a poof's parlour inside a millisecond!

Halfway through every single download of a new map, the download speed resets to 12KB/sec. This means one has no chance of joining the game in progress. The final file in the sequence often fails to download at all so one has to restart ones machine. I am getting seriously p*ssed off with this... And you wonder why nobody is visiting??

Got a new computer, spent a week downloading games, patches etc and now trying to get COD4 working... I could give up the will to live! If it isn't DirectX it is Punkbuster but I don't know which...
