Yes welcome, Ferret, to the website. Glad to hear from you and always good to get to know who the heck we're shooting at (or whatever). Good to see more CTF lovers...need to get that going more often. Used to be many regulars there almost every night but has tapered off since new Cod's - 5, 6 Blak ops, etc. You may know Pete, Nickthe Grip and I are trying to rep the CTF server as the 'CTF Doggs' in the present 3 man TDM tourny - presently in Semi's awaiting the other team to schedule. Keep joining in the DM and when enough ready, we jump over to CTF. Love a bit more strategy, than the "shoot anything that moves" as stated in W@W DM. See you in the maps!!

I boycotted Steam a long time ago. Pain in the ass. Updates in middle of playing causing crashing of game, uses PC resource, etc. My son (Midgetnatorjr>XI<) plays on it - first MW2, Left4Dead2 and now Black OPs. Had significant hacking complaints in MW2, a bit of lag in BO and updates for L4D2 kept failing, restarted, failed - finally finished 30 minutes later and couldn't play it until done. Glad I prefer the WW2 genre (COD2 and occasionally COD5, W@W) - so far Steam hasn't been a part of those, but I'm sure it's a matter of time before the next WW2 is.

Had several little issues with 7, on top of the "unstable" ping in the games. Odd part was it seemed fine for months, until I had to re-install it - though a few other little oddities, like Windows Explorer not "seeing" some files but other programs, like picture viewers could. Once I moved them to MyDocuments, Explorer could then see them. Also had video issue in wife's desktop - IE site videos and pictures worked on my desktop but not hers though security and setting were the same. Also, you'll likely find two 'Program Files' folders, one regular and one with a (x86) after. This gets into the 64 versus 32 bit stuff - install in the wrong one and trouble. Morale of the story - old system and Windows 7 = crap! I think you'll need a newer system with 4G ram and later versions of software developed to run on it to eliminate ALL of these nuisances. For now, it's XP for me! Hope BlackOPs works on it!!!

OMG....Dirtbag you are correct!! Back when my employer allowed us to play games across our network, a group of us started, before COD2, CODUO, COD, Unreal Tournament, and Team Fortress, we played this FPS. It was freakin awesome. You could freeze the enemy then shatter them, shrink them and then stomp on them (leaving goo on your shoe) and of course shoot them or blow them up. A GREAT game! Then, like many game makers, they were suppose to improve on it but some morons stole the code and the whole thing flopped I thought the third person one they brought out later sucked - some kind of Mario game of walking though mazes. It would be great to play an updated version of this, assuming it is an advancement of the old original!

Yes very strange. Another odd thing is that I was in the new map you were showing us a few nights ago Phrog. I forget the name, but the western town looking map. Was in with Pete, Gomer, yourself and a couple others. Jumped from tower and building and teleported into buildings. But I recall the map after that one, Komplex was acting weird after that. Gomer and I were waiting for others and map started re-starting in a couple minutes time. ???? Anyway, also noticed in the Stats - check the leaderboard and you can see who is having issues. All the bottom names show zero minutes and zero score, but show map/rounds loaded?? Oddly enough, my name shows up twice though I've only used this one PC. Hmmmm. Thankfully, I am able to get in COD2, DM and W@W, DM - my other two favorite servers. Thanks for all the work looking into this, guys!! XI rules!!

Thanks, guys!! Good to see it wasn't just me, proving something changed. No new installs or anything at my end, so something is different. I'll be looking more at it today and let you know if I stumble on it. Man, it was "killing me" to not be able to get in with the CTF server last night, as we finally had a few in there. But did have fun in another server - the XI W@W, DM. Hadn't been there in a while, so good to talk to the regulars there.
