  1. True story, I had one of the first released laptops from a certain manufacturer in 2015, it was a Thursday, day before I was leaving the weekly client engagement. Got to the hotel's 'bistro' that I usually used to complete my work for the day and over wanders another individual that had obviously been there for a while. I ask my bartender to pour me a Glen scotch and she delivers it. She sets it down to the left of the laptop. My new 'Buddy' proceeds to knock into that glass and empty it all into the keyboard of a $5k laptop that I can't replace. And at the time I don't have the tools to even deconstruct the computer. He profusely apologized but I just requested that he go elsewhere.
  2. Wow, it's epic, whole world view.

  4. They only go up to 1.7 for the Mac, if he was on a Mac there would be no issue. Yep as GG posted this is where you can get the 1.7 Windows executable:
  5. How about the headphones port on the front (that is where they should plug in)? PM me if that doesn't work @caciusclay7
  6. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bolo_(1987_video_game) Bolo is a video game created for the BBC Micro computer by Stuart Cheshire in 1987, and later ported to the Macintosh in its most popular incarnation. It is a networked multiplayer game that simulates a tank battlefield. It was one of the earliest simultaneous multiplayer networked games. A similarly named tank game was created for the Apple II in 1982. Cheshire says this was "an unfortunate coincidence",[1] and that his Indian wife inspired the name. As Cheshire noted in his original documentation for the game, "Bolo is the Hindi word for communication. Bolo is about computers communicating on the network, and more important about humans communicating with each other, as they argue, negotiate, form alliances, agree strategies, etc."[2]
  7. Happy Birthday @Giggles and @zigge_51
  8. The best version of Bolo was by Stuart Cheshire for the Mac. He also authored ZeroConf.
  9. True, but wrong. Bolo was ported from Acorn.
  10. COD4, Marathon(Bungie’s Doom), Bolo (Look it up)
  11. Congrats @StinkO
  12. Someone might think this is a bit misguided, aka fake news. You don't have to play it, but to diss a server that our clan is based on is quite a bit anti productive, unless you are meaning some sort of negative to the clan you are a 'member' of. COD4 came out in 2006, it is a bit old but we still play it, and consistently have 2 of the top servers in the world.
  13. I'll bear that in mind.
  14. C'mon all you ladies are like, if he can spend 3 hours licking a doorbell..
  15. Did you try getting a new IP from your ISP?
  16. I appreciate your validation of my assessment, but can you provide any additional info that might allow us to help you?
  17. What install of COD4 do you have (disk, appstore, steam)? And you said elsewhere you were running a 2008 MacPro? Don't think Mojave runs natively on that kit.
  18. It depends on a few things, most significantly is where/how did you install it. A. CD/DVD or old school download B. Mac App Store C. Steam
  19. Right now it's 5120x1440 over 49" but it might change soon.
  20. JOINED September 2, 2009 Congratgs sir.
