I've given up on boot screens for modern cards, but yes if you wanted that you'd need to do some sort of EFI flash.

30 days to return here where I get much of my stuff from (Microcenter). Brand new XFX (Sapphire) Vega 64 is working just fine on my OEM MacPro from 2009 which has PCI 2.0.

Just got a Vega 64 to replace my MacPro 4,1's old GTX 680, tough to have issues when you swap out a 3 monitor setup with a single monitor that does 5120x1440, even the PC's 1080Ti seems to be having issues, and the Titan Xp is just sitting idle.

Howdy folks, Had a friend that tried to commit suicide on Thanksgiving by overdosing on prescription medication. He immediately regretted it and called 911. Saw them over the weekend and they are ok at this point. Question is, anyone deal with this before? And how to properly deal with it going forward. Anyone have any advice, it would be appreciated. -YACC

1) Setup another user profile and login and try that? 2) Have a large enough external HD or flash drive to install the OS on and try booting from that? (32gb+) -

few other things to try if you haven't already: 1) Zap the Pram and reset SMC: https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/reset-macs-smc-pram/ 2) Reset the Mic security settings: in terminal do an "sudo tccutil reset Microphone"
