Seeing quite a few suggestions online about the dns cache. "For those who haven't fixed this problem, I got mine back to normal after switching back to my ISP's DNS instead of Google's and making sure that I was running the game on fullscreen mode. Then when the game restarts create a new profile and see if that worked. If it didn't you can just delete the new profile in the same folder and move the other folders back from the desktop. I think it would be worth trying a vpn, I don't know if it will work. If you set it to London and then try joining our server hopefully it will bypass whatever the issue is. I've seen mixed information on this online, it seems to work sometimes and not other times. It should only cost you 5-10 euros to try it. You may be able to get a free trial and some places like nordvpn do a 1 month unlimited moneyback guarantee. Edit - I take it you have an unlimited broadband package? Like Blackrose says, make sure the isp aren't up to funny business as well.

Worked out how to stop the game kicking you between maps without having to redownload the mod. Go to your Cod4 folder, go to the Mods folder. Go to xi_mw2_147w folder. Move the file wpn.iwd to your desktop. This should stop the error between maps. If it works you can delete the wpn.iwd file.

I guess the full screen thing didn't work? Have you tried getting into any other servers except mw2?

Try right clicking on Cod4 and going to properties > compatibility > enable disable full screen optimizations. Try also running in compatibility for vista.

It will probably be temporary. I had this happen for a week a few years ago when there was a problem with the London exchange. My ping was around 200ms for a week instead of in the 90's. You could maybe try using a vpn to change the route temporarily? You can get a month for really cheap these days.

Literally didn't get emped the whole night but managed to emp Sway at the end who said it was 25s from enemy emp grenade. I did get emp mined which was 30s. Hopefully someone can confirm. Thanks.

I wonder if we should just go back to the last mod. I appreciate you are putting the work in Rugger but you said yourself you haven't done this before and there are still a lot of bugs with the new mod. Maybe even temporarily until the new one is fixed. A lot of people have disappeared recently, I hope it's just because it's summer but I know there are some playing new games - maybe that would have happened anyway. Although there are some that stated explicitly it was because of the changes. I'm still having fun on the server but the way things stand I think 1.46 was better. - Nades are less skilled. - Greater fall damage reducing ability to be stealthy etc. - Cars are too easy to shoot. - When you get blasted but don't die you get red screened and slow down. - Guns aren't as accurate, some have a reduced rate of fire. - There are still constant error messages on the screen. The thing that made everyone have capped fps and lodscale within certain parameters was good in theory but I worry that it reduces new players coming into the server. We are still getting people coming in and spending ages trying to set them to the correct values including others like /rate which should have been removed. I know Sammy had a different opinion on this but many, many people clearly had their fps at 333 and for good reason - it is simply more fun. How many new players simply leave when their screen is red upon entering the game? At the very least we should force the values we want people to have like other servers do and then if they change it they would get a red screen, thereby eliminating the problem of alienating people who don't know how to do it or can't remember. I've said it before and I'll say it again - F4H set everyone on their server automatically to 300 (effectively 333), why can't we? I don't know if this was the place for this but I've been thinking about some of this for a while. I'm sure others see it differently - this is just my point of view. P.s. - I'm not a fan of heist but it doesn't bother me compared with all the other stuff.

I think we should all start wearing helmets everywhere we go. You never know when you might accidentally fall over and hit your head. We also need to ban all vehicles immediately, far too dangerous. Three nukes from care packages in one map tonight, think it needs to be adjusted a little. Not sure if the compounding from rerolling was taken into account when it was adjusted. When an enemy emp hits near you it now makes the screen fuzzy for 40s instead of 30s.

Knowing what we know now I actually think it is criminal the lies that are being perpetuated. As far as mask wearing, the chart you posted doesn't take into account the quality of mask the user has on, if the "healthy person" (who has little to fear) is wearing an n99 transmissibility will be much much lower. Given everything we know, those at increased risk should take extra precautions and get themselves a high quality mask and minimize social contact if they so choose. Duke is still dying really easy from headshots, had two die pretty much instantly today. Also they should be able to jump a little to get over small curbs as they get stuck at certain points in the map. Thanks.
