  1. Nice bike. To answer your question: I like chess; been playing for 35+ years, & it's satisfying to build a repertoire over time & enjoy the game @ all time controls. My favorite opening as white is the English. The Sicilian, French, & Nimzo-Indian as Black. Outdoor activities are also at the top of my list. Hiking, fishing, hunting, target shooting. There are some lakes & surrounding countryside I've frequented since I was 7 or so years old; I know the area like the back of my hand & feel at home there in my quietude. Rolling hills, flat-top ridges, narrow valleys & slopes populated with hardwood trees & their denizens. Online gaming, of course, is another passion of mine. Been playing video games since 1978 & make a point of exploring any new custom map across which I come in Cod4. Know most of the more popular maps very well. Was into map making for a few years ago in the heyday of Cod4 mapping & modding. Reading is another favorite passtime of mine. Western Civilization from Hammurabi to the Greeks through Medieveal time up to the present; a rich & entertaining narrative to explore. Fiction would be Stephen King, Tolkien, Harold Robbins, Dean Koontz, etc. Jiddu Krishnamurti, Thomas Merton, & Gary Zukav would top my philosophy/spiritual list. I also collect jade from around the world; some jadeite, mostly nephrite jade. Anywhere continental plates come together, there's jade to be found. California, South America, New Zealand, Canada, Russia, to name a few places from which I've collected. I plan on working some my pieces when I get around to setting up a shop & procuring the necessary equipment. Heirloom tomatoes is another favorite of mine. I've collected about 75 varieties to-date & grow 10 or so each year for harvest, & a few plants from my collection on a rotating basis to refresh any aging seeds. Cherokee Purple, Black Krim, Kellogg's Breakfast, Brandywine Sudduth Strain, Aunt Rubies German Green are the ones I grow every season as they are fantastic. Custom paperweights & numistmatics are also occasional hobbies of mine. Guess that's more than enough for now.

    Hello!!

Hello & welcome to the forums.
  3. It is a nice card & about all you need for 1080 gaming. Unless one plays at higher resolutions, there's no need to look any further.
  4. Oh wow! This is such sad news. Dadda was a great guy. Can't believe I'm never going to get to hang out with him, joke & hear his laughter. It made me feel better knowing there was people like Dadda in this world & that I knew him, however briefly. Whenever I thought of him, it brought a smile to my face. In the future it will also, but now with sadness also. I'm so sorry Sandra. I instantly liked the man the first time I talked to him. It was an honor to have known him & his kind benevolence. Be well, wherever you are, my friend. =(
  5. Good value & great for 1080 gaming. 8 gigs of ram, too. ?
  6. Keep it for yourself! =D
  7. Love Prince's guitar work on this track... & the breakdown & buildup in the last 1/2. So many people sleep on his guitar opus.
  8. Happy Birthday, Buttercup!
  9. Why you gotta be hatin' on the 590? Hmm? =) $180 for a brand new 590 is a great deal, & what I would get for that price point. 8 gigs of ddr5, too.
  10. Don't make me come over there... Seriously, the RX 590 is still the better value: https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-1660-vs-AMD-RX-590/4038vs4033 You can benchmark your rig on this site, you can also compare components, ie: Cpus, Gpus, ram, rom, etc. You can even pull up their suggested deals. There is also a chart for these components which you can click at the top of the columns to sort by price, value, popularity, benchmark performance, etc. Have a look around. It's a useful site.
  11. If you're leaning towards the 1060, the RX 590 would be a much better value with even slightly better performance: https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/AMD-RX-590-vs-Nvidia-GTX-1060-6GB/4033vs3639
  12. https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-RTX-2060-vs-Nvidia-GTX-1060-6GB/4034vs3639 Apparently about the same value for the $$$... 50% more $$$ gets you 50% more performance.
  13. Lol, wonder how many get the joke, & how many are posting in obliviousness.
  14. Interestingly enough, I actually prefer to be seen by an Osteopath. My family doctor is one, & they have a broader, more holistic approach to medicine not usually found with Allopaths. I've also found them to be more considerate of their clients. They, too are trained in Allopathy & take the board like any other doctor; they just have additional training that most physicians lack.
  15. Dude, how the hell do you have a temp. of 103 & a lymph node the size of a tennis ball & even have to entertain a passing doubt of whether an allopath is in your immediate future? Like in any other business transaction, you must be your own advocate, & a strong one @ that. There are, like in any other field, people who run the gamut from excellent, all the way down to absolute shit. Don't let the shitbags discourage you from taking care of yourself.
  16. Happy Birthday!
  17. Holy run-on sentence, Batman!
  18. Happy Birthday Stewie!
