  1. Of course then you run into the problems of who gets tubes and who doesnt. First come first served? Which benefits those that can choose their classes quicker for whatever reason? Should frozen players be allowed to have them in their loadouts? Meaning forced class changes? A host of other problems to deal with? As always one minor change can cascade into more changes in other areas and must be watched. No thanks. Tubes annoy you? Get a flak jacket. It will reduce all explosive damage... after obstructions and the like are factored in (and extra explosive damage)... down to %25 of whatever is left. But dont expect anything for free or to take away from others.
  2. Thx. As always to get people to try different things most people have to be dragged kicking and screaming all the way like little kids. In the past had to shut down the main server for a day. Or once, just do be a dick, I gave myself a little... uh... tweak that gave me tactical nukes on spawn. Then set it off a few times to get the message across. That and total health running around but not shooting anybody. Buwahaha. The idea didnt work.
  3. Just a bump for everyone try it and say what you think about the config changes. If the clan can pay for and set it up, everyone in the main server can at least spend an hour of their free time and play it. It's the same mod.
  4. It has happened before. Sometimes for short periods. Last time it was 1-2 months while they said nothing other than the usual 'we are aware of the problem'. As for why, some at the time thought they were trying to kill the game off. But it was never anything more than rumor. Eventually the whole thing was moved to another provider to handle it. Considering they have promised BO3 will soon have everything needed for anybody to run their own 'unranked/modded only' servers with a browser, who knows but it would be nice. However promises have been broken before. Many want to know what the 'alpha' tools have but likely they all signed NDA's.
  5. Assuming you didnt delete your server cache, the master servers are not currently working.
  6. All you have to do is read the mans words and how he thinks the world beyond television or his hotels and casinos works. There are plenty of people here smarter than him on the way things work and would make better presidents. Think of Donald as the snot-filled kid that kicks over ant hills just to see what happens.

  9. Lets see... EMP defrost range is 128 units from center. Short range compared to a frag but its very small flare. EMP flares will defrost all friendlies in range. Range against cars is the same as against players. Tubes are exactly the same as the standard ones.
  10. The 2nd server will be more flexible in that regard. But not for me to mess with the rotations on the main server. That method has been long established and works so no reason to screw with it. It wont be rotated as often but also going to try out a two-rotation option based on number of players at the end of the previous map. Assuming many people actually play that server. Hard to get 2nd servers of anything going here. 18 or fewer players will have medium sized maps. 19 or more, a mixture of medium and large. Since all the server stuff is still in flux that is just my intention and is dependent on what they tell me is workable.

  12. K guys... There is a second MW2 server running. Stock maps currently while various issues are being worked out. 162.248.95.159 But.... since this isnt the main server there are some differences. Same files, just a few different settings. Move speed: assault and snipers are stock standard. Specops and shotties are higher than standard (MW2 speed). LMGs are slightly slower than standard. Jumping: Default game setting where the second jump, if done too quickly, slows you down a little. However there is no weapon-disabling. No damage at all to hands and feet. 1/2 damage to lower arms and legs. Standard damage everywhere else (head, torso, upper legs/arms) No hit marker. A couple of other tweaks I am looking at. Why? Not because any of the current settings are 'wrong'. Which is a POV. But because a real hardcore server should be harder for the shooter not easier.
  13. Just to add Did some checking because needing the headset to test things is totally annoying. Found a post that suggested... for Vista and later... to disable front audio jack auto detection in the realtek control panel. Supposed to load the correct drivers even without anything plugged in. Seemed to work on quick tests. Just make sure it doesnt mess anything else up.
  14. It doesnt happen always. Just with onboard realtek audio. I dont like to keep a headset plugged in just to test things out so it gets annoying. Didnt have the problem with my soundcard and drivers but its not pcie so not compatible with the new board.

  16. I call shenanigans on this whole cheating thing. Everybody better be nice or I will make it so arm and leg hits dont do damage. Just torso and headshots. All you spray and prayers... and there are a lot of you... would be doomed.
  17. Turning off jump shooting entirely probably isnt a good idea. A better one would be to cut accuracy down to 1/2 somehow. Maybe only a 50/50 chance that a specific round will even hit. Or maybe ignore everything but torso and headshots. No more dying because your little toe got blown off by a bunny.

  19. In FT? For starters there arent enough objective slots for all the snowflake icons. Both in the HUD and minimap. 16 per team maximum. Try 17 and poof.

  21. Hear what? Said many times that its not about the max number of players the game will handle but everything needed for the FT mod to actually work. So down boy. If I can ask, what actually happened to it? Someone spill water on it?

  23. Sometimes see that and often yea its specific to certain maps. Doesnt mean the map itself is bad. Could just mean its doing something unusual that typical non-modded or basic-modded games are not affected by. I dont recall offhand what that map actually is. I thought once maybe something strange was happening related to semtex. Perhaps when stuck to a player since that is not a built in ability and had to be scripted to get around it.
