  1. I will check one of those out thx. If it keeps the browser from constantly asking me what to do about swf files its all good.
  2. Depends if you get a page here with the post by whoever has a swf file in their sig. Anyone want to raise their hand?
  3. condolences to all.
  4. I just mean the standard little pop up dialog that asks me to choose to either open a file or save it or cancel. It has the usual check box for 'in the future always do this' for opening or saving. But I dont want either. I want to simply ignore it. In this particular case it is because someone has an swf in the signature and many times when I open a page here I have to cancel it multiple times. Its not a big deal just gets annoying.
  5. The thing is, 'off limits' areas may be in effect easter eggs intentionally put there by the mappers. They let you get there but are also deliberately made difficult or require certain maneuvers not just a single mantle or climb. Even if they seem a little weird like bouncing off a light. Of course the difference is whether or not you can glitch inside of walls and such to make yourself invisible while you shoot people. Especially if they are solid one way walls. IMHO the test is whether or not there are one-way walls or similar game geometry like rocks or trees. If you can see one, or at least significant ones, then you shouldnt be there. There is a map where I recall a long row of hedges next to a building that are one-way if you stand right up against the wall. Otherwise the enemy sees you. Is that intentional or is that a glitch? All depends I suppose.
  6. Well for at least 1/2 of those in the second vid I have to call shenanigans as official products. There are knockoffs made in Taiwan and other places. I have seen pictures of some really inappropriate Lego sets out there made by counterfeiters. But Japan does make some really weird shit. But what can you expect from a culture that has a manga called 'rape-man' as well as the popular 'naughty tentacle' anime category.
  7. Some time from my life I can never get back.
  8. Its not about updating. The security problems are too large. Often updates make it worse. It's just Flash after all and I dont need it.
  9. There is no smoking gun. Just the smoking buildings.
  10. Who in their right mind would want to GO to Iran? Turkey is a bit hard line these days as well. SA? Too far south and you would have to make your way through southern Iraq. Not a fun place to be if you are a Kurd or Sunni. If you are a woman dont bother. You are more likely to end up a slave. Which is why you are getting out anyways. Besides, being Muslim doesnt mean you prefer hard line countries as opposed to democratic ones. Assuming you are Muslim. Quite a few Christians also, which we know because we heard about mass executions of them from time to time.
  11. Anyone know how to tell Firefox to simply ignore certain file types entirely instead of asking me whether or not to open or save? Whoever has bored.swf bugs me because I wont use Flash and every time I have to say cancel. If there are multiple posts then I have to cancel it multiple times. It's not in the MIME types but even if it were there is no option to simply ignore. Only choose an app or set to 'ask', I dont want it to ask. Just have it do nothing.
  12. Well if you lived in Syria or northern Iraq you would get the fuck out mighty quick also.

  15. The kick is due to losing too many packets.
  16. I feel your pain.
  17. Why would you play a game you are guaranteed to lose? I remember the old computer version of axis and allies. Risk on steroids. But of course these days its all C&C.
  18. Please be patient. A lot of other stuff had to be done the last couple weeks that took priority.
  19. Shhh. Yea but with the 308 they dont care anymore. I dont care what anyone says its a great weapon.
  20. Except for a couple small things I took a break from it last week. Other things needed doing. I am wery wery twired. Hehhehhehhe. edit: And yes, baring unforeseen problems you can now shoot down a heli with a predator missile.

    GOG.com

gog.com? Its not girl-on-girl? Ah well.
  22. If it is truly damaged, physically, then likely you will have to send it to a data recovery place. Which might involve disassembling the drive and replacing what needs to be.
  23. I think its backwards.
  24. bootlicking = 2 + 15 + 15 + 20 + 12 + 9 + 3 + 11 + 9 + 14 + 7 = 117% Not quite as good as kissing your bosses ass. Unless your boss is kinky and prefers boot lickers.
  25. I suppose when it comes to privacy related things, Linux here we come. Only thing Windows is really needed for is certain programs and games. Wonder if its possible to run a linux virtual machine inside windows or something like that. I am sure it is. For web searching and the like switch to it.
