Total time played compared to all other members, clan membership giving higher priorities as expected. Spectators have the lowest priority always and will be kicked. The exception being spectating clan members are not kicked unless every player in the server is also a clan member. Which happens from time to time. Persists and doesnt reset after 30 days. It *does* however reset if you delete your player profile and start from scratch the same as rank progression. There is no %100 magic bullet and after multiple attempts at different options, and many attempts at tweaking and weighting to find some kind of balance, this was found to be the most straightforward and fair approach. Doesnt matter how good or bad you are. How much or how little you score. Have a great or sucky K/D ratio. Whether you are a headless chicken run and gunner or a smores loving camper in a tent. Or whether you are a considerate and generous player or a pain in the ass player with a big mouth (no names shall be mentioned here please). And of course add to that admin/moderator decided kicks outside of auto redirects.

A MBP for 52k? Something that you cant upgrade yourself and will likely be obsolete in 3 years? I dont think so. Other than obnoxious and self-entitled rich people who has the money for something like that? As for the idea of a high end mac gaming computer for 5k, it would only make sense if you used bootcamp since that is where the majority of the high profile games are. As it is, most developers dont bother with OSX and an expensive Apple gaming rig that few people will buy isnt going to change that. Unless they have something else up their sleeve. You never know.

I wonder if after an upgrade you can reinstall the original win7 to a virtual disk and have both. Or is the upgrade considered the same original license. There are likely older program that dont work on win10.

I may do the free upgrade... after I back up the entire drive in case the worst happens. I just dont like the supposedly user friendly win10 interface. This user is old school I guess.

I guess if I went that route, which I may have to in order to get DX12, then daily full backups will be a must. Or at the very least, assuming auto WU can be completely shut off, to always backup first anytime any update is done. Even a small one.

That is good to hear. It will hopefully be awhile before I have to do another full system rebuild and I am always looking at cost/benefit. Have used both amd and intel processors over the years. Either would serve you well. A couple things. amd runs hot, something to keep in mind if you live in an are that gets high ambient temps. It is generally accepted that at best cpu temps will get no lower, or very little, than your ambient temperature. In video compression (bluray etc) the temp difference was noticeable. They also have heavy power consumption in comparison and over time can affect your electric bills depending on how you use your pc and how much. Not a knock on amd, just things to consider depending on your specific circumstances.

Yup, got the popup that says win7 support ending in a couple weeks. Ah well. Good while it lasted. While not the best in longevity 10 years is pretty good for an OS. For something that lasts 10 years with free support/updates it was a good investment for any software. 2009, dont even remember what I was doing then. Going to have to read up further how to disable all those added 'user friendly' things that take away control. Also all the various privacy settings.

Shocking is an understatement. My first reaction to seeing the thread header was 'wait... what???' Condolences to all friends and family.

For future proofing, so to speak, I might end up just saving a little bit further then buying the 2060 super, which I have been looking at even with the $$$. As expected, none of them really go on sale for the holidays. I do also need it for some development not just to play games and have fun with. So there is that. The main drawback I see with amd is that they can still run pretty hot. Remember that from long past but its still an issue I suppose. And of course are power hungry. As for nvidia, I didnt know until yesterday that those 'ultra' versions take up three pci slots due to their size. I have to open up the case to make sure I have the room if I go that route.

Ooops should have said 1660. The last amd I had was a 5770 and it served me well.

Just curious. Other than raytracing is there really any benefit for the 2060 over the 1060? Also, 6gb vs 8? I mean in actual practice not what all the online 'reviews' say? You can never trust them because you have no way of knowing any bias. Also, places like Amazon/Bestbuy/Newegg reviews are worthless. There is a pretty significant price difference between the two.

All of them use the standard game 1.7.568 patch. Be sure you have the browser set to show mods. If needed, get the server IP on the main page and add it to your favorites list. Note that 1.79 is the community cod4x patch, which none of the regular XI servers use. 1.8 you can ignore.
