Shocking is an understatement. My first reaction to seeing the thread header was 'wait... what???' Condolences to all friends and family.

For future proofing, so to speak, I might end up just saving a little bit further then buying the 2060 super, which I have been looking at even with the $$$. As expected, none of them really go on sale for the holidays. I do also need it for some development not just to play games and have fun with. So there is that. The main drawback I see with amd is that they can still run pretty hot. Remember that from long past but its still an issue I suppose. And of course are power hungry. As for nvidia, I didnt know until yesterday that those 'ultra' versions take up three pci slots due to their size. I have to open up the case to make sure I have the room if I go that route.

Ooops should have said 1660. The last amd I had was a 5770 and it served me well.

Just curious. Other than raytracing is there really any benefit for the 2060 over the 1060? Also, 6gb vs 8? I mean in actual practice not what all the online 'reviews' say? You can never trust them because you have no way of knowing any bias. Also, places like Amazon/Bestbuy/Newegg reviews are worthless. There is a pretty significant price difference between the two.

All of them use the standard game 1.7.568 patch. Be sure you have the browser set to show mods. If needed, get the server IP on the main page and add it to your favorites list. Note that 1.79 is the community cod4x patch, which none of the regular XI servers use. 1.8 you can ignore.

As though any parent is going to spend the money hiring a lawyer to sue some unknown server owner... that may very well be in another country... over a video game? Have we gone from 'my dad will beat up your dad' lamers to 'my dad will sue your dad for everything he has'? I dont remember if there have been server threats here (ddos etc) but why is it that minecraft seems to be the worst of the lot? And especially from obnoxious kiddies that dont get it that installing hax could very well get them hit with a cryptolocker extortion virus? Has our society gotten to the point where basic intelligence across the board has nosedived? Maybe it really is time for a real-life once a year "Purge" and let Darwin sort it out. ?

I have the game. Just cant really play it yet. At least multiplayer. SP does well enough.

Ugh. I was hoping for decent black friday sales on 2060 cards but they are just minor drops compared to the usual prices. Especially since this time of year we see energy bills spike and funds are less. Right now, as nice as that all sounds the game is unplayable even on lowest settings until I do. Ah well. Those of you that can... sounds like a blast.

Even though its not smooth until I get a new gpu, to be honest the typical gameplay is not much of a change from previous games. However I havent yet tried the 60-player one so that might make a major difference. Lately I have had more fun with fortnight even though I hate the building of instant bases and such. Destroys the momentum. I would try pubg but too many horror stories of hackers and little being done about them.

Why should someone with a full LMG loadout run at the same speed as someone with an Uzi? And to clarify, under normal settings they dont. But here... they do. Strictly speaking, why should a perk allow you to run twice as far before you exhaust yourself?
