Be glad they are making the game and content for the pc. Companys want to do this crazy thing called make revenue. The day companys quit making 1st person shooters for the pc would suck. I really don't like using old hardware the consoles offer. The controls are a joke for a fps.

Artimus Prime I also bought my first CL sound card and heard doom for the first time on my 486 SX computer....Used up many many hours of time with my two sons and I and the nephews playing all night on a null modem cable. The nephews could stay overnight but had to bring there computer along so everyone could deathmatch... Gosh that was fun... 1994 is the year I think. The Giant spider with the machine gun was always a great challenge. I also loved Duken Nukem 3D... "Come Get Sum" never forget that little sentence.........That was a great game too.......hmmm.. how hard would it be to revive those games online on a server?? Artimus. Bart I have been working for a major isp the last ten years. If a ping of 160 is acceptable in their network cloud thats pretty bad. Once you get outside of their own cloud into other fiber backbones its depends on your isp's sla with that provider. I would download pingplotter to look at some realtime traceroutes of their network. www.pingplotter.com They may have issues they know about but may not be able to do much about depending on their budget for that given year. Once you install it change the the tracroute interval to every second. I would first run a traceroute to one of their dns servers. If you need help shoot me a pm. Where are you located? What are your isp choices if you have any?

Noears711>XI< Hey Cat I already have an AMD processor for you an X4800 and depending on the type of Mother Board we can come up with, I also have some memory either regular DDR or DDR2 whatever is needed. So do not give up so fast and talk about leaving it's not that easy. Always remember we Idiots are family. I think I have a fan for this processor.

Cat, I probably have a few boards that will play cod2. If your wanting something better to play cod4 etc the paypal donations will get you there I'm sure. Your basically looking at a motherboard, processor and ram. I have various parts. If clanmates post specifics of what they have I'm sure we can piece you something together.

I haven't been able to play much at all in awhile. I will be playing ctf when I can play semi regular again if some traffic can be generated. There were some things that needed corrected on the server the last time I played. I can't remember all that was wrong its been awhile. One for sure was the countdown timer to start. I could usually get the flag and be halfway back before alot of people were in the game. I don't know what the config is like at the moment. I know people try to keep things fresh but the gameplay was nuts on before. It was about strategy and strong players could make a difference as well. The gunship was retarded if its still in there.

People have not forgotten you. There have actually been some posts wondering where you have been. Sorry to hear your going through a bad time. Things will get better. I haven't been able to play much at all lately with work. I do miss hearing dammit Hoth! lol... Hope to make you cuss in an enjoyable way again soon. Of course you can blow things up as well!

Come on in Stormcrow. I haven't been able to play much lately so if you catch me on xfire. I just get in a occasional cod2 dmatch game or code4 ft. I really miss cod2 ctf. I have a warehouse full of bodybags to distribute to all of my XI friends. :]
