If (and a big if) I follow you, are you talking about your gaming name within COD4? If so then open up cod4, then choose options, then multiplayer options. Simply type in your name into the player name field. So for me it's Cavey>XI<

Sorry Dark Asylumn but you couldn't really use a proxy to cheat. In the business world a proxy is used to navigate and control LAN IP's out to a public IP. I work for a big company, and we only have 12 public IP addresses. To get additions cost a fortune, especially as the public IP's for a class C subnets have run out, and we are now having to use the world's reserves. Obviously we will eventually go to IPv6. Anyway in the home PC, most people (not myself as I pay extra for a fixed ip address) get a DCHP address from their ISP, who will have a bank of thousands. Sure you can turn off your router and turn it back on to obtain a new DHCP address, but most ISP's use a lease time on their IP addresses, thus when you reboot your router, you will most probably obtain the same IP address. The only way to definately get a new IP address is turn your router off for a quite a while, then your ISP will release that IP address for another client to obtain, which in turn means you will get a different address when you reconnect. So in short a proxy would not work. They would have to use a IP Address spoofing algorithm, which I doubt they are doing. To be honest, they have more members than us, so probably simply can vote more than us! I agree we are probably taking it a little too seriously, and would like to see the chatterbox full of chat not numbers. If they beat us, so be it, I'm still happy to have fun with our pc gamers

We are limited to the game types available I'm afraid. Modding and mapping aren't availble, though this hasn't been ruled out by the vendors

Yo Rugger, I think everyone has been doing the same old thing. New game, lets rank up, and once we have got the the level we want, then we will play on the dedis. If the dedis were ranked, then you would only see us there, but they aren't (and can't be) so this is a normal thing for a new game. Some (like Cheese) will do all prestige, some like myself (will get to default level 80). The game has only been out for 3 weeks, so people are either just getting use to it, or haven't even bought it. Some won't even get it til Christmas. One thing I know is that all XI members who play, play "Kill Confirmed", " TDM" "CTF" or "DOM". Unfortunately I think we have picked the wrong game types for our servers. Dm just doesn't interest me! In short, if you can give it until the new year with both servers running more of the game type we would more likely play, then great. Otherwise reduce to one, with "kill confirmed" and see how it goes.

Hi Rockape, Well, even as a Head Admin for MW3, I was originally finding it way to fast for my brain to keep up. I would get killed every 10 seconds. However I have suck with it, and am absolutely loving it now. Again I can't compare with BF3, to be honest you can't really. They are so different in their game play. If you want tactical, and take your time, I guess BF3 is for you. If you want to play in a similar style to the previous COD editions (though much faster!) then MW3 is for you. I personally haven't had any problems with the game. It's very stable as far as I'm concerned. At present few people are playing on the dedicated servers, as we all want to rank up first. Once people have got over that (say another month, just in time for Christmas) the Dedis will fill up. The ranking system is the p2p system of MW2, and yes you can sometimes be hosted by someone the other side of the world (especially if you team up with friends in the States) but it trys for the best connections, and is a significant improvement on MW2 for P2P connectivity. Remember you get plenty of juvenile players, to which you can't administer, but it's not the end of the wrold, and you learn to ignore them. Naturally the Dedis can be managed quite convincingly, considering the admins tools have only just come out. I also cannot find fault (yet) with hackers. I'm sure there are some, and going to be more as time goes by, but it seems very clean at present, which is very refreshing. In conclusion, you like previous cod series, then you will like this. Just be prepared to get owned for a good few weeks/months, until you get with the pace of the game (going back to cod 4 seems like it's in slow motion!). With the mixture of matchmaking and dedicated servers gives the player plenty to choose from, with a good number of game types, and this is refreshing. Hope to own you on the battlefield soon Cavey
