COD4 MW2 Freezetag Server Connection Timed Out

Does anybody have an idea how come that I can not connect to the MW2 ftag server?

 

I keep getting the server timed out error.

 

On every other server I can connect without any problems.

 

The server adress is the correct one and on my xfire it shows the current map and the players, in the server list of cod4 itself it stands between my favourites where it only shows the server adress (no name no nothing)

Looking into the server list I couldn't even find the server.

 

So if anybody has an idea please let me know.

 

(Reinstalling ain't an option since i lost my cd and key for it)

well i've been trying that for like half an hour and i still get it, but i can conenct to every other server in like 5-10 seconds :-s except the mw2 ftag server :-s

what about re starting your pc.?

If he is timing out and others are'nt i don't think an admin will be able to help him, it's got to be down to Toothpick and his connection.

restarting didn't help, reconnecting to my internet didn't help

connecting through the console with the server ip didn't help

 

i'm all out of guesses :-s

I have the same issue....sometimes I just give up....and sometimes on the 3rd or 10th try it will connect....its only that server for me too...i get on the others fine...

Ive fully admited on multiple occasions that i am hung like a light switch, but i got HUGE fucking balls and a tongue that wont quit!

That just might be the problem ;-)

You can reinstall the game with any CoD4 cd.You can get your key from Widows registry;

in search/regedit-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Activision/Call of Duty 4/codkey

Try to delete the Favorite. Restart machine and MANUALLY put in sever info.

yeah but since i finally got in after the problem i hadn't had any connection problems anymore

but yesterday i got the timed out thingie with trying to connect to the tournemantserver for cod4 mw2 :-s

i have the same problem.

for me it works in this way:-try to connect via xfire

                                       -getting the error

                                       -open the console and type /reconnect (dosnt matter if u have the / in front or not)

                                       -enter

                                       -play

yeah that's my strategie also but sometimes i justgive up and play some other server because to much trying makes me sad :-(
