Even if this ban went through, children would always find a way to play these games, older siblings and even adults, it is up to the parents to watch what there kids play and yes that is easier said then done, I don't believe kids should play these games, the age limit should be 15- 16 years old for violent games, they are at an age where they can at least see the difference between reality and life, but that is my oppinion, I bought GTA and Cod and let my little brother play them when he was young, was it wrong yes in some ways, but I am for children not being able to play these games till a reasonable age. That is my two cents

A small consideration that gets little notice is that the playing of some video games enhances skill sets sometimes used later in life.

The military, particularly pilots, have often said that video gaming has pilots better prepared as they enter into their profession.

I just think gaming, violent or not, enhances reaction times and tunes the senses better than watching the Sponge Bob Square Pants or the Muppets.

I do not think they make children violent, no more than watching porn makes an adult a rapist.

Parents!! So much crap that people do go back to upbringing. If kids are taught right from wrong and explained, exposure to many things deemed "harmful", like video games, can be seen as just that - a game (imaginary) and not real life.  In games, you can shoot people (and get shot), crash cars & sell drugs (GTA), slice with swords - it's cartoons!! Hell, rocks fell on Wile E. Coyote when we were kids and we knew he couldn't survive in real life. It's entertainment and amusing fun!! Of course, there is an age factor that parents should know - common sense. Talk to your kids!!

I grew up with Elmer Fudd hunting Bugs Bunny with a shotgun and the Road Runner inflicting all manner of mayhem on Wiley Coyote. Kids know fictional violence in videogames isn't real; professional wrestling has a greater impact because kids will try some of those moves on other kids.

On the other hand, children should not be exposed to the sexual perversions (for children) found in some of these games because they are not sufficiently mature to put it in proper context and in that respect, I disagree with the court. Children should not have access to pornography in any form.
