I use Acronis backup which does an image-based backup. It claims that you can then restore that image to different hardware and it will handle the migration properly. I haven't had to do this yet, but I have clients who have successfully done it. Awards

You'll avoid a lot of trouble. You can also set a ReadyBoost cache to it to help speed up windows.

I had the thought of just uninstalling BF3 and then installing it on the new drive. Will that help with my loading speed or will I still bottle neck at the slower drive because of the OS? Also Pinglo what do you use to make your clone? Thanks one and all. Awards

The game will load much faster on the SSD, not as fast as having OS and everything on the SSD, maybe a couple seconds longer. The game probably uses DX and that is still on the hard drive, but a few seconds is no big deal. Most of the loading will come from the SSD.

I will eventually put it all on the SSD but waiting for my customary reinstall of OS its kinda lie renting sometimes itis just great to move and leave a lot of Sh*&t behind. lol Awards
