I have the Q6600 G0 there are better processors but I can tell you don't get a Q6600 B3 stepping they don't OC as well as the G0 and are not made to run at higher temps.

I think the video card and RAM for BF3 is a bigger deal though then the processor.

I have

Q6600 G0

4GB Ballistix

Iron has

an intel 2.13ghz dual core (forget the model number)

6 GB RAM

And he loads into maps faster than I do, but loaded in slower than me when he had 2GB of RAM if that means anything.

what do you have right now?

the 4670 is not a good card

go for a gtx 460 1GB.....though I am an ATI guy its the best bang for the buck if you dont have this much money to spend

Primal is right with the stepping versions of the Q6600

I had a G0 earlier and it did a good job...the B3 is very hot headed

maybe go for a Q9500 or faster

Or just watch Newegg shellshocker deals, they always have combos on there for around that price that comes with a case, motherboard and CPU, sometimes some other stuff.

You have plenty on power supply, that will be about the last thing you need to upgrade. 8GB of RAM is getting cheap now, get it for <$50 for some really good RAM.

The first thing I would personally is buy an i5-2500k, than a z68 motherboard of your choosing, 8gb of ram.

Before you decide on a cpu, CHECK OUT THIS SITE!!! http://www.cpubenchmark.net/

This shows a benchmark comparison between all cpus out there. You will be able to tell exactly how much of a difference one cpu would make verses another that is $100 more. (or compare against the one you currently have)

If you get the GTX 460 go for the GTX 460 Ti. It's a much faster card.
