I have/had Win8 in  my main system, lately I was noticing that I was dropping one of my cards in SLI. Tried all the swapping around, slot for slot, thought I had it last night after running multiple of Unigine. Went on and played some freeze tag and card drops out. Had already tried swapping drivers to older and was just beginning to start checking for a defective card when i thought screw it. Put my 120SSD back in and reformatted with Win7..hmm..both cards running, last Unigine in Win8 netted 1654...now 2635. Win 8 may just suck more than I thought...I may boot back over to my HD that has Win 8 on it to play more and troubleshot..but ..yeah..might not be worth it...and I bought 3 licenses for it too.So just a heads up if anybody else starts noticing funky crap happenning.

Ya, I don't like Windows 8.  My stepdaughter has it on her laptop and unless you have a touch screen for which it is optimized for, I find it quite cumbersome to navigate and find what I want.  I will be sticking with 7 for a while.  As far as your issue go, maybe that will get corrected when the first service pack comes out which shouldn't be too long given MS's track record.

Good luck.  Just put the baseball bats away before you play around so not to reach for one when the frustration peeks.  LOL

okay..now I am confused..went into Nvidia Control panel to check SLI config...click disable..it then asks me to close the Logitech gaming software..do that...then renable SLI..run Unigine..it is all working..both cards running. I guees my next step is to play with no logitech running and see if the software is affecting me...I really don't want to use my POS Corsair headset.

I use windows 8 on all my pc's barring my DJ laptop.  They are all touch screen so that's handy as windows 8 is really as commented optimised for touch.  However i had issues with my Cyborg keyboard.  Saitek were as much help as a chocolate teapot when trying to get it fixed.  It now works as a standard keyboard with the extra options not being used.  However the mouse worked fine first time.

Windows 8 coupled with Office 365 is a really good option for me as I produce lots of bits for my hotel and I can then access them anywhere.

Marauder   thinking of your issue

in the past I had a PCI-e Audio do the same thing intermittently not seen by windows, turns out one of the slot connectors was weak

had to use a safety pin on the PCI-e slot smaller square holes along slot and re-arch connector 1 by 1 by pushing safety pin in a 45 degree angle towards center of slot

note: touch case with pin before attempting with PSU off and caps drained by hit start button and power cord still connected on PSU
