Hey all...

I have some issues with an excel spreadsheet and need a working template that is specific to my inventory issues,

Anyone proficient in excel?

Also its time to really ramp up my website...the one I have was made by my limited skill set....its for my business....this can be a paying job.

Let me know if anyone interested and we can go to PM.

Thanks...

hi jon.

Im pretty good with excel, and access.  But if you need it for inventory management then you would be better off using access, which is meant to be used for inventory control and the like.  It can also be used in tandem with excel.

What i think you will need is a custom user interface that controls access to the database through specific screens that taylor your data to suit your needs.  It can then be indexed according to how you want to retrieve it..

Do you enter the data yourself, or do you have employees doing it?  excel and access are both fully programmable.  Something i used to do in another lifetime.

I hope you find what you need.

In the meantime i took the liberty of finding you a few links... hope this helps!

@@LordOfChaos that might be a bit much for me to maintain...one freaking crash i am screwed....

What I am doing is just counting gallons...by date....so an "in" column and "out" column and total column.

It does need to total at the bottom as well....and I have this basic sheet setup....but my issue is the columns for the diferent companies I track....I cant print the dates for specific customers and the printout looks just ghastly....and no dates...

thanks for the come back!!

Merlin is taking a look see for me at the moment....

yup i see what you mean.  A very simple set up would do in excel so gl with it.  Should it get a bit much for you i would recommend looking into access. it is quite a good data manager.

Cheers!

I am the xcel wizard. I have a spread sheet that if I type the 6 numbers drawn in Powerball on it no matter how many sets of numbers I have typed in it calculates how much I won in a nano second. LOL  Never won much by the way.  LOL

Send me file so I can fix it for ya.
