having problems that i cant solve by myself with cod4 please help

i have tried everything in my knowledge but i cant get pass this problem. the second the game is about to start i hear the nasty windows error noice BEEEEB!!!!

and then this error:

 

Impure client detected. invalid.IWD files refered!

C:\program files (86)\activision\call of duty 4 - modern warfare\main\IW_13.IWD

 

what tha hell is that. i didnt design the damn game so i have no clue what so ever.

i have a clean new reinstalled game and it f***king complains????

 

anyone that can help me out????

 

hope someone can if not ill just play cod 5

Maybe only an Install-error, cause its only this one file, right ??

 

Have ya got an error-message dure the installation ??

 

it seems so.

no error messsages during instalation. have reinstalled it severaltimes and also cleaned regedit from cod 4 files.

did as the link said. removed the iwd_13 and copied a fresh one from the cd back to the folder. same error. it wont work without the file either.

Have ya restart your System??

if so, then i dont know more, sry

 

I only get often the IW3 Error during game, and sometimes PB-Error after map change. I have delete all the Mods i dont play atm, updated the PB/graphics/Main and always the same. But its ok for me the way it is.

i managed to fix it now after 7 instalations. dont know what or where it went wrong and thats kinda shit because i would liked to know what it was if it would happen to someone else.

The further we get away from XP/ME/Windows 98 as an OS the more we seem to have problems with the older games. I would like someone who understands this kind of thing to explain why so we as idiots are not just sitting here yelling at the screen thinking we have some real problems with our machines. Please cause I have as many or more iw3 and iw4 quitting messages that I an beginning they themselves must be a virus! Lol! Please someone explain!
