I purchased a R9 270X there last week and it came with coupon codes for 2 free steam games. I also was offered 50% off AMD's ram disk 64gb for something like 10 dollars. Anyway I went ahead and purchased that cause I heard great reviews about it and installed it and it doesnt make sense at all to me. It creates a virtual hard drive or something.

Anyone currently using it at the moment and would like to tell me what its all about?

# 1. HOW MUCH RAM DO YOU HAVE? I have 16 gig and use 8 for ramdrive. cod 4 loads in less than 1/2 sec.but it is awesome at all kinds of things like unzipping large files.it does take longer to boot and shut down because it has to load and save the ramdrive to disk.to use a 64 gig ramdisk you would need at least 70 gig of ram min and that much free dard drive space.need to know more hit me up in ts ill help you!

Oh so its used for only the amount of ram you have in your system? I have only 8gb of ram and I purchased the 64gb Ramdrive so basically it was pointless haha. But sure the ram disk would be pointless for me then. Whats the story then with the ramdisk creating a virtual hard drive? Do you use that for programs/games you want to the ram disk to do?
