New Maps Needed for COD2 CTF

The CTF servers on COD2 have been abandoned because the maps are either boring or so old that people are very tired of them. Just about any time I check no matter what time of day or night, the server is empty of players.

 

The CTF servers are where I cut my teeth on this game and what introduced me to the XI clan. There have been many great maps there over the last couple years and I think it would be a good idea to post what our choices are and have a vote by clan members for which ones to run. As I recall, some of the best maps were designed by our own members and I for one would enjoy seeing them back.

 

The DM maps seem to be pretty popular right now, but there are a few that are really bad such as Highlife. It would be nice to see a couple fresh maps thrown into the rotation.

Could you do me a favor and look through these maps and let me know what maps you think would be good got the CTF gametype

I know that there are some maps that don't work well or at all for CTF, so I'm only basing my choices on what looks appealing. I say let's try the newer ones first and go from there.

Ouch, I think these are excellent choices for CTF, while this was just discussed this sunday I'm blown away at the speed that this has been addressed. I believe we will see this server get a lot busier again now.....

Thanks Rugger. I really missed that XICTF map you designed. It's a great map and I'm glad it's back. Not sure why it's there, but there was a map that Phrog and I just tried out that was mouse something or another. It's a fantastic map, but appeared as DM rather than CTF. I'll bet the guys in DM would love that one if it can't be converted easily to CTF.
