that looks great TBB. Very professional. You made an office space that looks like a babys room.

Room is painted blue to simulate a sky background.  Took a year and a half to finish - only have the floor left to paint.

Why use OSB in the first place is my question?

Long story. I was looking for something sturdier than drywall since my son likes to practice his slap shot in the basement and make wholes everywhere. Sound proofing and durability were another two considerations. An extremely friendly dude at Home Depot told me my best bet would be using osb and painting it.

The short answer is I'm a real idiot, but hey I have fixed the problem; -)

A cheap start is to thin down some dry wall mud and use a paint roller to apply it. Then prime and paint

Or purchase some stipple paint

Joe I would start with wet paint then I would let it dry. Then if needed wet it again with new wet paint then let it dry. You should be good after that.

If you prime it first with a good stain blocking primer (I prefer the zinnsner 123 for wood) you won't have any adhesion issues or problems with the wood bleeding through the taping mud and finish paint. I've seen it done a few times and it turns out great and seems to last.
