I generaly just dont use them but found this by googling it. When I have gottin cases like this the 3 wires are for 3 differant places. Case, video, cpu....There are so many programs out there to monitor temps I really cant find a use for them. Although if you want the temps to show in the dials on the frount of the case then use them. Just DO NOT put it between the cpu and the heat sink. This will cause a gap and posibly make a hot spot on the cpu. The other part parts dont look familiar to me. Try goggling the make of the case and go to the accessories section.

Anyways, Im ASSuming you have an XP proc, if its a P4 then chances are you arent looking at a mobo temp and its as close as you can get...
From what Ive seen from others is you cant use a shim, you use the flat temp sensors, tape it with the same type of tape my digitaldoc came with, and make sure the very tip of the flat sensor is touching the side of the core. Make sure its not ontop of the core so it would prevent the heatsink from sitting right, just the side.

The orange long sleeves are to replace the screws used by the hard drives and  DVD ROM or CD optical devices. You can see little nubs on the side they go in the screw holes of the hard drive just to mention one and then the whole unit slides into the case. No screws. As for the temp sensors. place them in the cooling fins of what they call for . there never as accurate as the bios would give you but it will give a number on the little screen. If theres no place to stick it you can bend the end and just hook it over the top of what ever it is. Never put it in between two surfaces that conduct heat or into ant thing that has power. For true temp monitoring there programs like speed fan or widgets that run on your desk top. Good luck don't short anything out switching cases.

Thanks Mate Thats a great help.... The only reason I want to connect these is the kids comp is not as good as the one I use, thers will run cod4 comfortably but not much else yet.. and their present case is too small for the new power unit I had to buy for them..But untill I can afford to upgrade theirs a bit more at least I can monitor the temps to stop things cooking lol.

But again Thank You

Does the case have an alarm setting built-in?  A previous machine used to bleep at me when I got stuck into a FPS (Crysis was one that warmed things up inside the case but not at a temperature that was "harmful").  I found these sensors more of an annoyance than a help, personally.
