We ban players for personal attacks. The XI Admin Manual defines that as: "A personal attack is when a player engages in a continued dialogue - written or spoken against another player or players, which in your opinion clearly intends to harass or disparage those other players. A player may be upset over being continually killed by another and call him some profane name - that may be overlooked as something said in the heat of the game. But if he then continues to do so in a harassing manner, it is a personal attack..."
 
The chatlog shows a perfect example of a player engaging in a personal attack.

We never use the map voting as it causes problems amoungst players. Just because someone else does not like the map shouldnt mean you do not get to play it.
 
Usually there is an admin on, who at the request of the server population will make a decision based on numbers and their own discretion whether to skip map/vote map or not.
 
We have been through this many times over the years and this is how it has best worked for the majority.

Correction it has worked. If it had never worked then it would never have been there. But yeah I will be going through and removing things that don't work on the site - next item on my list is Rugger.

Yes there are things we non admin members can do like screenshots etc but as Stringer said sometimes its not at the forefront of your mind and you can miss the chance amoungst the frustration of the moment.
