  1. Buying the VIP passes avoids a lot of the extra fees for autographs and pictures, plus you don't have to wait in long lines. The picture with the 3 cast members was a little over $100 but most of the others and autographs were very inexpensive while others were totally free. The cast members were just walking through the crowds and didn't seem to mind if you snapped a picture with them or asked for an autograph. My daughter said that David Morrissey (The Govenor) was by far the nicest of them all. He spent several minutes chatting with every person who asked for an autograph. My wife said that they talked to him for over 10 minutes and he was genuinely interested in striking up a conversation.
  2. My youngest daughter Kelly is what you would call a super fan of the TV show The Walking Dead, and I suppose the rest of the family are fans too including me. A few months ago she became aware of a show in San Francisco call Walker Stalker Con and decided she was going to attend no matter what. So since that time she has been saving every dime and managed to afford 2 VIP passes to the convention, one for her and one for her mom. So today was the day and I drove them in and dropped them off at the convention where they spent the entire day. My daughter managed to get pictures of herself with a number of the cast members as well as autographs. She is just floating on cloud 9. Her VIP passes are good for 2 days so tomorrow I'm taking her for the second day. If it goes as well as today did I'm sure we'll have a blast. Here are some of the pictures.
  3. Well said Milky. People like you are what makes XI the great clan that it is. Note to admins thinking of sponsoring a new member: This is the kind of attitude we're looking for.
  4. It's fast, but for a lot less than $120,000 I can buy any classic dream car that I can possibly imagine completely rebuilt and tricked out, take one or two seconds longer to go from 0-70 and look really cool doing it. Or for $115,000 I can go buy an Audi R8 Coupe that takes slightly less than a second longer than the Tesla to go from 0-60 and I think it looks a lot more bad ass.
  5. It looks a lot like the vegan pizza they served at my nieces wedding last summer. YUK.
  6. That makes about as much sense as breaking all of your teeth out to lose weight. A vasectomy would be much less painful the the results are more of a sure thing. Honestly I think those guys are enjoying it.
  7. Baby monitors work great for something like that, and they're very inexpensive. Occasionaly people can have another monitor that can listen in on them, but it isn't that common.
  8. That's about what my speed was a few years ago when we had a house in the country and were on Hughesnet satellite. It really sucked and was only slightly better than dial-up. I feel for you.
  9. All of the commercial ISP's suck, some worse than others. I had AT&T for years and then it finally got so bad I switched to Comcast. It worked great for a couple years until a lighting storm took out my wireless router and it's been a nightmare ever since. Constant service outages and spotty service. Forget talking to their service reps by phone. All they know how to do is keep you on hold for a couple hours then tell you to reset your router a few times while they attempt to sell you other products from Comcast. It's a freeking cluster fuck.
  10. LOL, that's great.
  11. Can you tell what I mean by this? Engage yourself in egoistic carnal knowledge.
  12. Happy birthday buddy. Make it a great one.
  13. Artimus Prime should be reading this. As I recall he's heavily into building dune buggies.
  14. Very cool machine Lead. You must have a blast in it.
  15. Happy birthday Fuzzy. Hope you have a great one.
  16. That sucks. Yet is some states they have golf carts approved for city streets.
  17. I was pretty surprised to see that too Bart. If these can be street legal then why not quads?
  18. I received this email today and thought some of you would enjoy it. The ones in amusement parks back in the 20’s thru to the 70's ran on electricity. They had a pole on the back going to a metal electrical charged overhead plate. You remember driving the bumper cars at amusement parks or a fair, don't you? They were so much fun... Well, now what do you do with old Bumper Cars? These little beasties are street legal. They run on either Kawasaki or Honda motorcycle engines and co-opt vintage bumper car bodies into the most awesome form of mini-car we've seen in too long. There are seven of these little monsters floating around California and they're all the creation of one man, Tom Wright, a builder in the outskirts of San Diego who figured the leftovers of the Long BeachPike amusement park needed a more dignified end than the trash heap. They were originally powered by two cylinder Harley Davidson Motorcycle engines but they rattled like heck because of the two cylinder Vibration and Tom replaces them with four cylinder Honda or Kawasaki 750's And a couple have been measured as capable of 160 MPH, which is terrifyingly fast in machines with such a short wheelbase. By the way, they are almost indestructible in accidents!
  19. That made me laugh out loud.
  20. The resemblance is uncanny.
  21. Make sure you guys take video.
  22. Great video and pictures Olive. You are indeed very lucky to have the opportunity to visit such wonderful places.
  23. Good job Sherm, you're finally an idiot.
  24. A classic wall hack in action.
