  1. A lot of them, Harry, are British nationals and not even naturalised ones at that (from whom nationality could be stripped). There is a threshold beyond which the authorities can intervene e.g. if there is evidence of collecting information (even visiting web sites). This requires heavy surveillance which is why we live in a Big Brother society nowadays and universal monitoring of us all is no longer something just in a George Orwell novel. The youngest victim who was killed has been revealed to have been EIGHT years old. EIGHT!!! How could she ever be a "crusader"?! The reaction of some has been an outpouring of hatred but I am pleased to report that the Manchester Evening News paper set up a fund for the victims that has, within hours, raised more than £473,000 ($614,000). If anyone wants to give Manchester some love in a financial way, the page is here: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/westandtogethermanchester Please, Manchester members, check in and let us know you and your loved ones are OK. Praying and thinking of you all.
  2. I read an article about this in Newsweek. The effect could be useful to protect satellites from solar radiation.
  3. No list of posts appears when I access this, just a blank screen and an option to mark all as read. It contains over 6000 posts so something isn't right somewhere...
  4. Looks like a great map, Icey. Looking forward to trying it out when it is finished. Nice work, maestro!
  5. Oi! I was born and raised there! It is, however, like the Curate's Egg. I can assure prospective visitors that there are no "5000" year-old cathedrals and churches in the UK (or indeed anywhere else in the world). Single track roads are commonplace everywhere in the countryside in the UK, Olive. Such fun when one meets a tractor coming in the opposite direction!
  6. A guy walks into a bar with a pet alligator by his side. He puts the alligator up on the bar. He turns to the astonished patrons. “I’ll make you a deal. I’ll open this alligator’s mouth and place my genitals inside. Then the gator will close his mouth for one minute. He’ll then open his mouth and I’ll remove my unit unscathed. In return for witnessing this spectacle, each of you will buy me a drink.” The crowd murmured their approval. The man stood up on the bar, dropped his trousers, and placed his privates in the alligator’s open mouth. The gator closed his mouth as the crowd gasped. After a minute, the man grabbed a beer bottle and rapped the alligator hard on the top of its head. The gator opened his mouth and the man removed his genitals unscathed as promised. The crowd cheered and the first of his free drinks was delivered. The man stood up again and made another offer. “I’ll pay anyone £100 who’s willing to give it a try”. A hush fell over the crowd. After a while, a hand went up in the back of the bar. A woman timidly spoke up. “I’ll try, but you have to promise not to hit me on the head with the beer bottle.”
  7. I haven't previously. I'll delete it and re-download it.
  8. This map is crashing my game and I don't think I am the only one affected as the server empties when it comes round in the rotation. Could someone else load this up and see if it is a server-side problem?
  9. If you have been following the news, you'll be aware of a massive ransomware attack perpetrated across 74 countries, yesterday. To ensure your PC is protected from this particular strain, I am posting this link: https://www.grahamcluley.com/wannacry-ransomware-hits-systems-worldwide/ Microsoft has also provided a patch for application to earlier versions of Windows no longer routinely supported e.g. Windows XP, accessible via this link: https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/msrc/2017/05/12/customer-guidance-for-wannacrypt-attacks/
  10. Mainly I saw the MLG guy die a lot. I'll leave it to other admins to assess whether he was hacking or not and ban if they believe the evidence is there. POSTSCRIPT: 2_MANY_BEERS has banned the other guy.
  11. It's nice to be appreciated! The video was giving me a headache though I appreciate the task of spectating two players simultaneously is not easy.
  12. The tool you need @RobMc is XI Demo Manager:
  13. I have banned him in response to the later DogYears post and demo.
  14. Thanks for the intel, DogYears. We'll be looking at this.
  15. There is a Call of Duty: World At War forum under the Supported Games category in which queries like this are better placed. You'd have more chance of someone who is interested /knowledgeable reading your plea for help. For example, I visit that forum daily and this one far less often.
  16. Until quite recently, not something seen in the UK but they have become more popular, it seems, just as they are dying out in the USA... https://www.theguardian.com/education/2010/may/17/yearbook-uk-schools-us
  17. C'est ton anniversaire! Happy Birthday, Olive!
  18. I am neither following any user/member nor any forum. Likewise the setting for images is empty and unused. I think something needs tweaking on the server side?
  19. Like many others, on collecting my morning emails, I found a load of notifications about images that @dadda2 had posted (of the UK XI meet). Is it possible to set the default to OFF so people can opt in if they want to? I can't find a setting on my profile that I can change.
  20. Get well soon, fella!
  21. Steam is a real pain in the parts. Two attempts to update it, two total PC lock-ups requiring a hard reset. Third time lucky. Got some odd error message about an "entry point" missing when I tried to run L4D2 but the game started anyway. Had a campaign game and was killed by a Tank.
